I caught up to this show on Hulu and it is real good I like it a lot too good for a Saturday show but it is what it is. And my man love for Ian McShane almost rivals mine for NAthan Fillion

I actually enjoy this show each week. Part of me almost wishes that they had used real places for the countries. It is so close to being new york city, but it isn't. THey shoudl ahve called the country New York, and the other one New Jersey. I think that would have been a very interesting what if. What if the states didnt join together and form the united states?
Anyways, It wasnt on last night. I will try to keep watching on saturday, but we will see how long that lasts.
I could have sworn that I read somewhere that this was indeed a limited series.

count me in as thankful that NBC is at least airing the final episodes and not immediately banishing them to hulu (not that there are not worse options).

A fellow blogger has an interesting write-up about what can be done to improve the show:

I'm just going to use this as the "official" Kings thread.
I watched the Saturday episode, and thought it was OK...
I'm not looking forward to seeing it again next week (but I still will). I agree with the others, and blogger, that this "fictional" land is hard for me to truly care about.
I don't know where, how big, etc this Fort Prosperity is. I truly don't care about the guys brother, the people, the city anything. I have no idea who they are at war with, how big they are etc.
I wish they would have used real names... like we are at war with Canada, and they want Chicago back... Then I might care and could put things into perspective.

Kings has been banished again...this time it's off the schedule completely. The first Saturday episode did a 0.6.

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has banished "Kings" once again - this time off its lineup completely.
Repeats of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Southland" and "Law & Order" will comprise the network's Saturday lineup for the foreseeable future, scheduling updates from the network confirmed this afternoon.
"Kings" posted an invisible 0.6 rating among adults 18-49 on Saturday, behind its repeat lead outs "SVU" (0.9) and "Southland" (0.7).
It's not clear when - or if - the seven remaining installments of the series will air.
[UPDATED 4:35 PM] The Peacock has subsequently confirmed the series will return on Saturday, June 13 at 8:00/7:00c to burn off the remainder of its 13-episode order.

no surprise here - i anticipate that come june, it will be pushed to hulu only, at which point, i will wait for the dvd release. after black donnellys and kidnapped, this is the 3rd NBC series that i have followed that has met a similar fate. perhaps shows of this ilk (season long character arcs, etc ...) should be relegated to cable.

this sucks
I hope it will be on Hulu soon, but I don't think many people are watching this live.
I think most people are DVR and watching it later.

Re: Kings -- "Insurrection" -- 4/5/09
So this episode was good but this show didn't have a chance unlike TSCC or some of the others that will fail I will watch the remaining episodes and be ok when it's gone unless something amazing happens. I do have one quibble with this ep. Macauley Culkin can this dude ever play a straight character he is always so strange and mysterious and always looks coked out or something. There is no shock value anymore because it's always the same.
