I am watching this online. It's pretty good. Much better than I expected. Too bad, the ratings suck. This would have been much better on Showtime or one of the cable channels. NBC I guess will go back to more procedural.

Agreed. I would have like to see this on Showtime or HBO, but I'll take what I can get.

I am not looking forward to seeing Mcully Culkin joining the cast

I never was a fan of his - and he just looks kind of creepy.

Banished to Saturday's. Pretty much as good as cancelled.

NBC is pulling "Kings" from Sunday nights, yanking the struggling allegorical drama effective this week.

Kings will be replaced with a second hour of "Dateline," which will now run for two hours starting at 7 p.m.

Sunday's "Kings" received a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49, while "Dateline" had a 1.5 in its half-hour leading into the drama. The thinking is that "Dateline" will provide a better lead-in for 9 p.m.'s "Celebrity Apprentice," which has seen some audience erosion in recent weeks that might be attributed to "Kings."

The remaining eight episodes of "Kings" will air on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. starting April 18. NBC pulls 'Kings' from SundaysRemaining eight episodes to air Saturdays starting April 18By James Hibberd

I'm gonna go ahead and kill my series recording. No point in getting anymore attatched to a dead show.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but isn't this a mini-series. Isn't is just supposed to air for a couple of episodes and have a beginning - end to the story?

I'm just glad that they will air it. I will record on Saturday - and watch on Sunday afternoons if I am bored (I like this time slot better)

^ My assumption as well. Good news that NBC will continue to air the remaining episodes -- will anticipate closure.

Where did you see that this was a mini-series? I know that this season had only filmed 13 episodes, but only because it was a mid-season show.

I don't remember - I would think it was some of the promotional articles that were out there. But I can't find anything now.

Yeah it's unfortunate, but at least we get this season's worth of episodes. Albeit on Saturday nights...

Was it on this past Saturday night or does the new night begin next week? I forgot all about it this weekend.

I missed it too.. but figured that the move is next week -

Mods:

do you think we should merge these threads and create a "Kings - series discussion"

I don't think there is enough interest to give it a separate thread each week..
