Re: Lost -- "He's Our You" -- 3/25/09

Spoilers for tonight. Nothing special.

Spoiler:
Episode 5.10: He's Our You (Sayid-centric)
Airdate: March 25, 2009

* new 03/14 - Things begin to unravel when one of the survivors goes rogue and takes matters into their own hands -- risking the lives of everyone on the island. Guest starring are Doug Hutchison as Horace Goodspeed, Zuleikha Robinson as Ilana, Reiko Aylesworth as Amy, Sterling Beaumon as young Ben, Patrick Fischler as Phil, Eric Lange as Radzinsky, Jon Gries as Roger Linus, William Sanderson as Oldham, Sayed Bedreya as Iraqi father, Xavier Raabe-Manupule as 12-year-old Iraqi boy, Dmitri Boudrine as Ivan, Michael Hardy as Floyd, Joe Toro as bartender, Achilles Gacis as guy in car and Anthony Keyvan as young Sayid. Source: ABC
* 02/18 - Juliet works at the motor pool - Kate joins her. Roger Workman Linus makes an appearance in this episode. Source: Lost Spoilers
* 12/12/2008 - [A scene set in Russia] was for Naveen Andrews, who stalked about dressed all in black (including a leather jacket). Most of the action happened behind closed doors, but the last scene depicted Sayid coming out of the building, holding something inside his jacket, and walking away. Bags of ice were spread across the sidewalk to depict snow. Interestingly, the same thing was done one block east on this same street for another Sayid scene (leaving a restaurant in Berlin). [...] After sundown, they turned up at Bishop Museum, where the show had recreated yet another Russian locale. According to my friend Jeff, a museum employee, both Naveen Andrews and Michael Emerson were on hand. He said they were in Red Square, and that fake snow was sprayed on the side of Hawaiian Hall and on cars parked along the lane. Source: The Transmission
* 12/04/2008 - Young Boy: 8, must speak Arabic. Quiet and thoughtful who loves his older brother and is protective of him, can do what his father asks calmly and coolly. Source: Lost Spoilers
* 11/26/2008 - Father: 40s, must speak Arabic. A domineering and quick-tempered father who's trying to bring his boys up properly. Feels he has to teach his son a lesson about how to be a real man. Older boy: 12, must speak Arabic. Sensitive and kind-hearted, he's scared of his domineering father and knows he's a sad disappointment. Ivan: Late 30s to late 40s, pudgy, must have a Russian accent, wealthy, upper-class and has lived the good life, but gambling debts have caught up with him. Now he fears for his life from the Russian mob. Source: Lost Spoilers

I hope this episode is awesome... it certainly should be with the way last week's episode ended.

All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.

^^ That's from the Matrix right?

I'm hoping it's more like this: All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again... until we COURSE CORRECT and set things right.

Yes, and from BSG...but it's not a new idea...just an ode to the cyclical nature of things.

I'm getting the feeling that when the island travels, it attracts certain archetypes, and they end up acting out variations of the same themes.

I figure any time now, we'll find out that Richard was the "Jack" of the Black Rock...or perhaps the "Locke"...probably not the "Hurley.

That would be interesting.

I forgot that the phrase was used on Battlestar Galatcia too. I know it's not a new idea, but I thought the wording might have been. Whoops. Thanks for keeping me informed!

My local station broke in for a weather update and I missed the entire conversation between Jack, Hurley, and Kate in the cafeteria. What did they talk about?

Hurley made Kate aware that James and Juliet are together. Jack told him to stop and Hurley went back to the kitchen. Kate asked Jack if he knew and he said yes.

Frak. I just stared watching, but my DVR is not recording it due to the two minute over run. Conflict with South Park and Damages.

Given the rest of the show at this point, I'm sure the island will keep him alive ....
