This and Smallville both have 22. The only exception is the CW Monday night's where those shows are getting between 24-25 a piece.

Supernatural has always gotten 22 episode seasons, except for the strike shorten season last year.

As usual, Ben Edlund gets the job done exceptionally well.

This was probably the first time since Battlestar's "Exodus Pt. 2" that I watched an episode again right after it just ended. Terrific episode.

I like how I got the Criss Angel DVD review at the top of the page.
Great episode. I also watched most of it twice.

I also watched this twice, two major shocking revelations (the Uriel one wasn't really a shock, so that's why it's not 3)

Great episode.
You could see the Uriel thing coming from a mile away, but everything else was good.
Sam is a major bad ass now.

Are the angels inhabiting human bodies as the demons do? And if so, could Sam do to them what he can do to the demons?

This episode and "In the Beginning" are pretty much my favorites of this season so far.
The only thing that bothered me was the "Righteous Man" prophecy piece revealed by Castiel. Although Cas didn't mention it, I assume the Demons have no clue about what lies ahead for the "Righteous Man", otherwise Dean would be a pretty big target.
.... or maybe they do know and don't want to take any chances with the Angels on Dean's shoulder.

good episode... although I guess I'm in the minority, of people who prefer the standalone episodes.

^I think that's a big affirmative there. I don't know anyone who prefers the standalones to the serialized!

I like a mix of standalones and the main story arc eps
Supernatural i think mixes it up well, sometimes in a standalone there are little hints or small important plot points which affect the main story arc

Such a fucking awesome show and it just keeps on staying awesome.
My theory was going to be that Dean was going to have to kill Sam at the end of the season. But now that it's renewed for another year, I don't see that happening. I'm still betting on some sort of showdown though.
And how gross was it when Sam was sucking on Ruby's arm? Nasty!

I thought I had read that next season will be the final one.
If so, I don't know where they are going this season, but I wouldn't mind them stretching out the broken seals storyline until next season. I just don't see them ending it and then being able to do justice with a followup next year. They could have Sam turn evil as the end of this season, but I don't see Sam Vs Dean lasting a whole season.
