I thought I was the only one who knew this. The show doesn't seem to have too many viewers.

Mr. Steve Cardenas has been doing martial arts for over 22 year's. He started at age 12 in Texas and when he was 16 he received his Black Belt in Karate and began teaching kids after school at his dojo. At age 20 he moved to California after auditioning and getting the role of Rocky the Red Power Ranger on the television series Mighty Morphin's Power Rangers. He has filmed over 180 episodes and 2 Power Ranger motion pictures.

Since then Steve has run several successful martial arts studios in California and Texas teaching people of all age's. Now Mr. Steve focuses solely on working with kids in after school martial arts programs. He believes that the conditioning, discipline and respect that children learn from martial arts can be carried over into all aspects of their young lives.

Re: Where are the Power Rangers?

Check this out. There's a rumor going around that Disney plans on airing the MMPR episodes "unedited and cleaned up". http://www.rangercrew.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10334

What does that mean unedited and cleaned up? The original Japanese footage I'm assuming because there's no way you can really clean up what was originally a video source.

As far as "unedited" goes, Disney made many cuts to the episodes when they aired them on ABC Family and Toon Disney, meaning if this is {hpefully}true they will air them as they originally appeared on Fox Kids. As for the video being cleaned up, I don't know, just repeating what I heard.

Thanks for posting. I can't believe how excited I am about this and I am 30 years old. I still have all of my original figures in their packaging in a huge trunk in the garage. I remember tearing up town looking for the auto-morphing red, black and green ranger, but I finally got them. Will the rehash be live-action or a cartoon?

It will be the original 3 seasons of MMPR{I believe RPM was/is supposed to be the last "new" season of PR}. Don't know if they'll be unedited or not though.

Oh, so it's the same old show with a new toy line. I thought it was a complete re-do. It looks like someone is trying to make as much money as possible off this franchise - and they are getting mine (well, some of it). I like the action figures, the other stuff can go. I hope they have a new Megazord and Dragonzord.

How are they going to show the same old episodes from 1993 but have a different Megazord? Is that supposed to be the Dragonzord on the foot? Wow that's bad.

Re: Where are the Power Rangers?

I read on the link you attached that those are the motorcycles forming that Megazord. The black and green ranger are sitting on them if you look closely at the bottom. Either way, that is terrible.

You can see handlebars on the Triceratops and Sabertooth Tiger as well.

Re: Where are the Power Rangers?

The new Megazord is shown at :17. I hope the decals are painted on and not on a sheet of a million stickers like the original. I take that comment back, they are clearly stickers.

Re: Where are the Power Rangers?

The original show was awesome, i remember one of the best parts was when the Red Ranger was trapped in some space colloseum and forced to fight Goldar but without his suit.

Re: Where are the Power Rangers?

Here is a pic of the new Power Rangers toys that will be in stores. Notice the floating Zordon head that comes with Alpha 5:

Anonymous sources have revealed the cards and figures that will be coming out next year in the relaunched Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers line. Of note, the Putty Patroller comes with a complete Power Blaster, and Alpha 5 comes with Zordon. Additionally, the figures are a smaller scale than recent years, more in line with the newer Marvel Legends.

I will be purchasing all of these :-)

The nostalgia factor is through the roof with this!

I'm putting all those old Power Ranger themes on my ipod again. Can't resist...

I agree! It's so nice to be able to revisit childhood with this relaunch. I love how they've given Kimberly her little pink skirt.

It seems pretty obvious that these won't be out until next year.

Aren't some of the toys already showing up? The new PR shows usually start in January but the toys trickle out near the holidays.

That said, I wonder who the audience is supposed to be. Most of the toys are very kid oriented, but the show itself has got to be dated at this point.

Yeah, Kimberly and Trini (not Aisha since they are the originals) look better proportioned - they look like girls - rather than that same generic body with a unique head the original figures had.

These original toys are in part geared towards guys like us who grew up with this show, and the show itself has gone through so many variations but there's nothing so radically different about the original compared to whatever version was on most recently aside from the quality of the visual effects.

You'd think they'd make them more of detailed/articulated if the market is more towards adults. As far as the show being dated, I was mainly thinking of the language and especially the clothes.
