Not good enough to make me want to get the DVDs later... but not bad enough to make me want to sell my first season. I'm sticking with it. As for something constructive to say? Yikes... I just didn't feel "it". Like a lack of chemistry between me and the show, hard to put a finger on what exactly.

I think people need to be patient.

I still watch the show since I don't watch any other shows on Monday.

Is Two & A Half Men that much better where it slaughters everyone in the ratings?

CSI Miami is a joke.

Maybe it is just me but this volume kills 'Fugitives"

I guess I'll have to post to balance out all the whiners. Good episode today. I enjoy this show week to week and its one of the few that I follow. I guess there's reality TV for the rest of the people who are bored with it.

Every show has issues, I have yet to be bored with an episode of Heroes. (I will own the series on DVD, that has to mean something.)

Not a bad episode. I also wondered why Matt didn't see HRG memories through his eyes. Oh well. Next week looks good.

Michael Corvin won't be happy when he reads this thread.

I actually enjoyed this episode. Maybe the best this season. And it didn't include Sylar. Of course it had laughable moments, but that's part of Heroes.

And oh yeah, I just want Nathan and Parkman to die. For real.

Spoiler:
I think I read somewhere, maybe EW, that one of the main Heroes is going to die for real in the next episodes.

Nathan needs to die. So sick of his character.

A couple of thoughts:
This episode was "OK." I think this whole season has been a lull because we're all still thinking "At least it's better than Season Two!"

I'm also wondering where is Sylar on his "find Daddy" road trip.

Spoiler:
I knew Daphne was still alive!

Despite its faults, I'm enjoying this 'volume' much more than 2 or 3. It's far from perfect, but the overall aimlessness that seemed to permeate those last two seasons seems to be taken care of. Fugitives at least feels somewhat 'thought out', unlike Villains (where it seemed the overall story arc was reset every episode) or Generations (which was overstuffed and unfocused).

Does no one remember that Nathan can fly? Why don't the other "heroes" call him out when they are getting caught by Homeland Security? This is what has bothered me most about this volume.

Oh, how the once mighty have fallen:

http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/02/low-r...nd-heroes.html

Chuck" (6.5 million viewers, 2.2 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and 6 share) dipped a tenth in the adult demo from last week. "Heroes" (6.9 million, 3.3/8) was down 8% from its previously established settling point. Both shows placed last in their hours among the major broadcast networks.
If I'm not mistaken, 6.9M viewers is by far the lowest ratings ever.

I think if they had more than one of them there (and not drugged up) then they would. Otherwise it's just one prisoner's word against a Senator's.

Eff that. Peter just needs to grab Nathan, take him up about 200 feet and drop him. Either he flies or he dies.

As always though I enjoy this show.
I admit, I didn't watch the whole episode yet, but I think this is the main reason I'm having trouble buying the underlying logic of this season. There's no reason for Nathan to go after all people with powers. There's no reason for the government to go after them. In fact, Nathan's whole about-face last season was that he wanted to give more people powers, reasoning that if he could give just "good" people powers, things would be better off.

I mean really, how dangerous is fish man? Or tell-the-truth girl (before she bought it)? I could see the government wanting to use these people, but just lock them away for eternity? In X-men, it was largely because the public new about them and were horrified/jealous of the mutants. Even in the alternate Heroes future, regulations were because of some horrific event that happened as a result of powers.

Re: Heroes -- "Cold Wars" -- Volume 4: Fugitives -- 2/23/09

Even though I've been bored by the last few eps I stick with the show because I love the "Super hero" genre. Period. I support any effort to get more "Super Hero" stuff on tv, in film , and whatever.

So this is my little way of supporting the show even though my viewing isn't registering with anyone who's in charge of keeping it on.

That said, 'm TIRED of these characters not necessarily the show. I'm tired of the back and forth between good and evil, agent and double agent. I'm tired of The Patrelli Boys, Claire, Parkman, HRG, and Mohinder. They're flat out Pussies(Parkman, Peter, and Mohinder), annoying Flip Floppers, (HRG and Nathan), and Lame wannabee badasses(Claire bear and Parkman).

Now for some reason, unlike many here, I'm ok with Sylar's good evil good evil flip flopping because let's face it...he's a fucked up guy all around.

Didn't Ice Girl already out him when she was being recaptured? I guess no one bought it. But then again I think Nathan's Hunter is on to him.

What's stupid is, what was it last season or 1st season?...when Parkman was able to do what his Father could do by making people believe what he wanted in one ep to save that girl? Now he's back to barely being able to read minds.

To be fair, the idea's that HRG's been specifically trained to combat mindreading.

Ok, Fair enough. I remember that. But still, my point is they said Parkman had a lot of potential and he expressed it in that one ep 1st or 2nd season when he created the illusion.

It seems he hasn't grown in his abilities.

He used his illusion power in Villains to trick the fear-strength guy. And his mind control is an offshoot of that power, and he used that in ep 2 of Fugitives. The time he used the illusion, he did seem to have to concentrate hard, he is definitely not as good at using that power as the mind reading.

Yup. So many inconsistencies with this show. I don't know why Parkman immediate response wouldn't be to find Hiro and help him get his powers back so he could go back in time to save Daphne. I don't understand why they wouldn't go in that direction.

"Put your phasers on stun!"

I can't believe I actually heard that! Oh well, as others have said, it's not as bad as v.2 or v.3, but it's a far cry from the level of that opening season.

Because Hiro was too busy going to India for no reason whatsoever.

Re: Heroes -- "Cold Wars" -- Volume 4: Fugitives -- 2/23/09

On the plus side there weren't really any huge "what the fuck are they doing?" moments. That was kind of nice.

I'm not going to question the POV memory thing. First of all it would look too narrow since our field of vision is much wider than what can be shown on a screen and it would just look weird. Technically, it doesn't make sense, but I just think it would work poorly if you actually tried to use the POV angle.

Mohinder and Parkman's battle was simply strange. It seemed very forced, and I just didn't feel like it worked in the show.

I also am getting the feeling the head of the team is going to be Sylar's dad. I don't think I like the move, but I have a feeling it's unavoidable.

Daphne crying out in pain was HORRENDOUS. Not a big thing, but wow that was terrible acting.

It was great not to see Claire. She has really been on my nerves this season.

Noah Bennett. While everyone may love Sylar I have always been a fan of Noah. I think the guy who plays him is great. I think he is one of the only decent actors on the show.

We all knew Peter wasn't going to kill the guy so let's all agree there was no tension in that scene.

I'm confused why Mohinder can't break the chains. Are they made of adamantium? He ripped a car door off of its hinges. Not a huge deal since I don't know the relative strength, but it gave me pause.

From what Parkman saw I thought he would say to himself "hey, this guy isn't so bad. He doesn't want to round us all up and take our powers. He even wanted to employ some of us. He keeps trying to convince people we aren't all bad." Yet, Parkman seemed to gloss over every positive of HRG and just focused on the fact he was working for them. It was a little annoying.

I thought it was funny when Peter jumped out the window to fly. You could see his legs drop down first like he was jumping onto a mat, but the sound effect was starting. Not a complaint, I just chuckled a little.

I wasn't floored by the episode, but I didn't get incredibly angry at the writers at any point. I will consider that an improvement.
