Jacob's role in everything is murky, at best.

Richard is the one that did the scouting at Locke's birth, etc. Richard is also the one that encouraged Locke to take care of his father.

We really don't know the nature of Richard's and Jacob's relationship, yet.

Don't know this if this has been addressed lately, I am trying to keep up with the thread...but how does Claire and her absence and Aaron and Christian fit into all this? If she is with Jacob why hasn't she been mentioned lately? I only mention this because she seems the most vital unseen portion of all this. I don't feel Walt and Michael play too big a role anymore...

That remains to be seen.

I occurred to me while watching that Faraday could be Kurt Russell's younger, nerdier brother. Jeremy Davies seems to have some similar expressions. Can anyone else see that?

Maybe in a couple of weeks we'll see Frogurt on the beach ranting to Sawyer "Do you have any idea what a flaming arrow in your chest feels like? It hurts!"
As complex of a show this is, and how well Damon & Carlton have managed everything... I doubt they would let a little detail like the number of survivors killed go over the original tally. Sure there has been a lot of death, but a lot of that was outside the original 48, like the tail section & the others.

With the current survivors skipping around in time, we could see the return of Arzt!

If only they had a BSG-esque survivor count in opening credits every episode, this wouldn't be an issue.

Well, I'll be starting over when the first two seasons hit Blu-ray and I'll keep a running tally in my Dharma clue notebook.
