How funny, I just watched that episode with my girlfriend this morning (been trying to get her to watch the show and she's starting to like it).

I liked Jim in the boss role. Unlike Michael, he didn't do anything ridiculous and was pretty much the only voice of reason in the episode. I like that they removed Michael from the Office this episode because his antics would have taken away from everything else.

Yet another great deleted scene from the show! Stanley's question to Dwight and Andy was hilarious! NBC should supersize "The Office" every week to keep from cutting such scenes (they can just take the extra minutes away from "My Name Is Earl" - it won't need them).

I'd like it if they would drop Earl or Kath & Kim and give those extra 30 minutes to The Office and 30 Rock. Like, Office from 8:30-9:15, 30 Rock from 9:15-10. But that'll never happen.

He really hasn't shown that he can be an effective manager either, which I think is interesting.

But is that because he just has no leadership skills, or he can't lead that disfunctional office.

yet, again Creed had the best line of the show.

In fairness to Jim, I'm not sure that anybody could handle this Andy and Dwight situation better than that unless they were vested with the power to suspend or fire personnel.

Phyllis' comment in the deleted scene was funny. This was a good episode, but a little over the top even for the office. I still think it's one of the best comedy's on tv.

It seems like every week there are funnier lines in the deleted scenes than some of the ones that actually made it into the show. Best moment of the episode for me was when Andy was taunting Dwight's protecting Angela from bears.

The one thing that sort of disappointed me was that they seem to have dropped the tension between Michael and Dave quickly regarding of the outburst Michael had asking why he sent Holly away at the airport. I figured they would build something on that. But by Michael’s end, it seems to be all forgiven.

Damn that deleted sequence was great! I wondered last night if Stanley was even in the ep cause I never saw him. I say an extra 15 mins for this show would be gold.
Whats up with spoilerizing a sitcom? That just screams uber nerd. This show gets more spoiler tags than a fucking shield episode

A lot of what makes humor funny is when it's unexpected. If you can guess the punchline before it's delivered, it's probably not funny. Putting the funniest bits in the previews has killed most comedy films for me.
That said, there's a lot of character growth and development on The Office. It doesn't have the standard "everything resets" sitcoms use to have.

Anyway, I think they could pull it off, especially since Michael is good-hearted at the bottom of it all, and you could really see how much he wanted a child. Even one that wasn't his. So, it could work, plus seeing him in a father capacity would be comedic gold. I laughed my ass off at the Lion King shit...
