Spoiler:
Bill fulfills the conditions of the tribunal's sentence, although he and Eric find that Jessica doesn't quite turn (out) as expected. Trying to solve the mystery behind her most recent vision, Sookie heads to a pie shop with Sam and, later, puts the squeeze on a philandering police officer to get info. Jason helps clean up Amy's mess, worrying about their future but unable to break away. Tara's anger over Lettie Mae's refusal to bail her out of jail is tempered when a wealthy "social worker," Maryann Forrester, comes to her rescue. Disgusted by the hypocrisy of a vamp-bashing State Senator, Lafayette decides to pay him a firsthand visit on the campaign trail. In Bill's absence, a vulnerable Sookie finds comfort with Sam. A distraught Jason finds himself in hot water with Bud and Andy, again.

This show is coming to an end way too fast.

Can't wait for this.

Somewhat a slower episode but the payoff was pretty good. I can only hope that the next episode answers more than this past one though; the newly-changed vampire story was weak.

I'm just hating what a byatch they've made Sookie out to be. Bill's been gone a few days--to go to a tribunal for saving her life--and she calls it vampire politics? Ugh. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying this show; I just think they've really messed up her character.

I enjoy this show quite a bit and look forward to the finale and season 2, but the best part of tonight's episode was before it started when they showed the teaser for Season 3 of Big Love. I can't wait.

Lost and Big Love...finally time for me to start ignoring my family again.

Totally agree. Kinda wanted to punch her in the face tonight.

Loved the new vamp girl though. She was pretty funny. I hope she's around for a while.

I was stoked to see both Big Love and Flight of the Conchords previews tonight.

"You are the worst maker ever!!" The cringing look on Bill's face had me

Another great outing! Enjoyed Pam in the opening with her deadpan delivery, kicking Jessica to the grave; and Amy/Lizzy Caplan's sendoff sequence was beautiful.

I had cut her some slack for having lost her granny, but agree she's giving telepathic waitresses a bad rap lately with her fickle-bitchiness. The writers will have plenty of time to tweak her for Season 2.

I think that was just a reminder of how young and inexperienced in love she is. She is a young girl and Bill is her first love. To her, he just up and disappeared a few days. She really has no idea what was going on with him so she just started thinking he must not care about her.

Does he not have a phone? While he was busy with making the girl vamp, couldn't he have just given Sookie a quick call to let her know he was all right and would be back as soon as he could?

^^ I thought he wasn't allowed to communicate with her.

Why is next week the season finale? Argh.

Who played the girl that took Tara home from the jail?

That was Michelle Forbes aka Ensign Ro.

I was surprised Tara didn't recognize her from the street but maybe the pig (or the booze) distracted her.

Thanks now I remember her from 24 and In Treatment.

I suspected Rene wouldn't be who we thought he was (whether he's the murderer or not). Arlene mentioned that Rene was the first guy she married that was a good man (or something like that) - so I figured that was an indicator that she would get screwed over again. Plus Rene seemed like the nicest guy on the show - no problems with vampires and gets along with everyone. Something had to be up with him.

Two of my favorite parts/lines were towards the beginning

Amy: What we have, Jason, it's beautiful.
Jason: Yeah. Yeah.
WIDE SHOT OF VAMPIRE GUTS SURROUNDING THEM.

Sookie: I tell you what...I am sick and tired of waiting around to get strangled.

I love the humor in this show.

Also, it was nice to 'see' another Six Feet Under alum: Nancy Olivier who wrote and directed this episode. She wrote one of the best Six Feet Under episodes "Ecotone" and Lars and the Real Girl.

And, , Tara - she's got some legs!

I hope Pam and Eric get bigger parts next season.

Jessica was cracking me up

Poor Bill. First he gets stuck with making a bratty vampire, then Sookie throws him out. Does rescinding an invitation work on a vampire? I was hoping to see Sam shapeshift and have a kickass battle with Bill in full vampire mode.

In the preview for next week:
Spoiler:
I thought I saw a quick shot of Lafayette jumping into a dumpster, apparently trying to get away from something or someone. I hope he's not killed off in the finale, he's one of my favorite characters.

Quite frankly, do we expect Bill to have a cellphone? Doesn't seem like a lot of vampires really embrace technology. Bill didn't even have electricity in the beginning. We've never seen Sookie or Bill with a cellphone. Only person I can recall is Sam, Jason and maybe Tara. Would explain why word doesn't spread so fast in Bon Temps about murders and such.

Can't wait to see how they're going to leave using hanging until next season! (How masochistic is that?!?!)

Surprised that Sam didn't go all animal on Bill.

Bill is the worse maker...ever.

I'll miss Amy.

The phone conversation just sounded weird (in how the police receptionist said she was glad she didn't have to be killed by the person on the other end of the call). Was Drew's photo/file a bit of misdirection?

What has Tara gotten herself into?

I am still holding out hope that the Iraq vet is the murderer. My wife is betting on Drew though.

Just last episode we saw him playing Wii and discussing video games with another vamp.
