Smallville - Last Season? When Will We Find Out?

I actually think this show deserves one more season but for the fans when will we find out if the show will be over after this year?

what's the hurry.
you'll know just as soon as everyone else.

how about this.
next season is the last.
heard it here first.

Oh and look for the "they should end it now, it stinks" posts to follow.

A good bet would be the television upfronts, which occur in the third week of May.

We could hear earlier, though, if an announcement is made or if plot details leak and they indicate a wrap-up-type storyline coming.

The show really needs to end. It features the sloppiest writing of any show I've ever watched regularly.

Other than Reaper, which is only getting half a season this year, does the CW have anything it could pair with Supernatural? Would be a damn shame if Smallville's end affected Supernatural.

I think it's a lock for a season 9, but it depends if they can re-sign Welling. It's still the highest rated scripted program on The CW.

I think the show needs an end date so they can resolve all plot lines and lead into a Big Screen Superman with Welling.

I won't ever recover from the debacle that was the Lex/Clark conclusion, but I just hope there have enough strong material so "they" can see Welling is the best choice for big screen Supes.

Would be nice for the series to end next year on a Thursday night with Clark flying and then a movie open the next night picking right up from the end of the tv show.

Unfortunately, with Brandon Routh. Wouldn't it be a trip if it was revealed that Brandon Routh is really computer genrated. That would explain so much.

The storylines this season have been a blast. Yes, the dialog is still soapy and corny. I would watch a 9th season.

Don't hold your breath on that last part.

Chances of Welling in a big screen Superman movie: Less Than Zero.

They SHOULD announce if it's the last season already. that way the writers can end the series in a great way instead of just rushing all the loose ends in the last episode.

1 post and banned? Second account or something?

At any rate I completely agree with him. The writers need some advance notice to plan some big shit out.
