The good news is, with NBC doing so horribly all around, 30 Rock's rating aren't looking 'danger zone' bad anymore. Even if it drops down to last year's levels after all the stunt casting is over, that's still as good or better than 75% of their lineup.

Damn. While My Own Worst Enemy wasn't spectacular, it was good popcorn TV.

This is why I don't watch new stuff. This is such crap - I was actually enjoying MOWE too. Guess there is no use in watching this weeks episode.
Next thing you know they'll start cancelling everything else of theirs I just started watching: Chuck and FNL.
Edit: By the way, how do you show 2 - TWO - episodes and then go off the air for a week? And ontop of that not only do they pick up Crap Rider for a full season, but they put time and effort into retweaking it after the fact?! That will never have the potential to be a breakout hit no matter what they do to that.

For future reference, if a new show your interested is serialized like MOWE, I would maybe wait a few weeks and see how the buzz is, ratings and what timeslot it gets before I commit to it.
MOWE had terrible buzz, production problems (changing his wife and showrunner) before the show even premiered.

I'm sad to see "Lipstick Jungle" go. I loved the pilot but didn't get to watch the first season until the DVDs were released, and I was looking forward to catching up on the second season this winter.

I just realized that NBC gave up "Scrubs" and ER is ending after this year.
Wow, NBC as a network is really going downhill fast. All they really have anymore are the "Law and Order" series'. It's a sad day when I can say that CW has a stronger lineup than NBC.

now I can go delete those unwatched My Own Worst Enemy episodes from my Tivo. I had a feeling this was going to get the axe. Was the show any good? I was Tivo'ng it due to my fear it would be canceled and not wanting to get involved with a doomed show. Any opinions on the value of the show?
Lipstick was horrible and nowhere near as good as Sex and the City.
Glad it is gone.

NBC did the same thing to My Own Worst Enemy that they did to Journeyman - they stuck it in a time slot after a show with declining ratings and pitted it against one of the CSI shows. You don't do that to rookies. Although, at least NBC advertised Worst Enemy; they didn't do squat for Journeyman.
But I did.

Got burned on Daybreak, so I had all eps. of MOWE recorded but never watch. I'll be deleting them all tonight.

I was kind of liking MOWE but I don't think there was really enough there to take it very far. It did have a little bit of cleverness to it in that it didn't always explain everything to the audience (like trying to figure out which personality Slater was currently playing [or the few times when we was supposed to be one of the personalities acting like the other one]) but I think that might have been part of it's undoing too.

I don't get angry about this kind of stuff anymore. Basically your really at the mercy of the Nielsen families whether or not a new show survives. I think if it survives, great I will continue to watch. If not, I will move on.
