They should cancel Heroes and funnel all that money into existing shows and developing new shows.

You can count me among that group. I haven't seen past Episode 2 of this season, and I'm not going to enter a weekly thread because of spoilers.

Never been a Loeb fan. Only thing he's written that I enjoyed was the "Red" episode of Smallville.

...Right. NBC has had one of the worst Fall launches in years with stuff like Kath & Kim, My Own Worst Enemy and Knight Rider. Heroes seems to be the only show that hits all the right demographics.

I can't see NBC dumping the show but they need to seriously retool it. Drop the dead weight (Suresh, Nikki, Peter) and focus on the good characters.

From E! Online

Update: I've just been told by reliable insiders at NBC that Heroes most likely will replace Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander with at least one new writer-producer, and one of the names being tossed around is Bryan Fuller, the creative genius who served as a consulting producer for the first half of the first season.

The upside? This would be nothing short of awesome, as Fuller's Heroes episodes were some of the strongest ever. If anyone can save this show, he can.

The downside? One would assume this could only happen if Fuller's current obligation, Pushing Daisies (which he created), does not get picked up, which would be a heart-breaking TV tragedy. Though perhaps he could do both

So what, Heroes is just as bad as those shows. I still think that all the money that is being wasted on Heroes should be put to better use. For example, Life could use a boost for sure. And by developing new shows, I meant shows that will premiere next season. Not their current new schedule.

I feel bad writing this, but I hope this it gets canned (but don't think it will). I'm watching a show that I'm not really enjoying right now because I got into so much in season 1 and didn't think last season was THAT bad. This season has sometimes made me want to stop, but I don't think I can or will unless it gets much worse. I think I'm in it until the end, so I guess an early ending would be a good thing for me. Or maybe there still is some tiny chance it can all be turned around.

I'd rather Pushing Daisies continue rather than a last-ditch attempt to save Heroes, but if PD is going to get canceled anyway (which is looking depressingly likely), might as well see if Fuller would come back and try to fix it with the 4th "volume".

Season 2 wasn't that bad, having re-watched it recently. Season 3 has been struggling though.

I have the last four episodes sitting unwatched and am on the verge of dropping the show. If I don't need the disk space and have free time I might watch them over winter break. I think it may be better to watch this show marathon style. I figure if I turn off my brain, run through them quick and don't read pages of comments on here after each episode, then when it's over I won't realize/remember half the stuff that makes this show painful to watch.

Not singling out wmansir here, but I don't get recording mulitple episodes of a show one doesn't like and holding onto them. If I don't like a show, I stop watching it and move on. I don't keep recording it in the hope it will change and I'll enjoy it more.

I also don't get coming into show threads (any show) to rip it if you don't watch it or don't watch it any longer. But, that might just be me.

Again, no offense meant to wmansir (or anyone else specifically). It just happened to be wmansir's post I quoted. This isn't even specific to Heroes.

I can see where he's coming from. Last year I mildly enjoyed Reaper but early in the season it wasn't exactly 'must see tv' during the monster of the week episodes so they piled up on my DVR. One night, with nothing else to watch, I plowed through a handful. Boy was I glad I held on to them because the second half of the season really kicked in. Then again, I didn't hate the show, it was just kind of rote.

The special effects have been awful this year.
I wouldn't mind if the characters and stories were kind of interesting, but the flaws are dog piling atop each other.

I still have the last two eps on the DVR with no desire to watch them.
That's the point I've reached too. I want to like the show, but it's just gotten too... convoluted to really follow anymore IMHO. Similar to what happened to the X-Files. Maybe it will be better to wait and watch it all at once when the DVDs are out. I have noticed some series just play better that way.

I might return to the show if they can return to the greatness of season 1, but I highly doubt that will happen.

Heroes is 1000x better than all of those shitty shows, and that includes Life. Then again, I don't see what all the complaining is about, since I've enjoyed the show all season.

There is no way that Heroes is better than Life. I still like Heroes enough that I watch it week to week, but Life is really sharp and hitting the mark week after week.

Doesn't matter if they're awful, they still need to be paid for.

When Heroes writers/producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander were ousted from the show, it was clear that series creator Tim Kring was looking to change things up. I personally stopped watching Heroes because it became needlessly confusing and overstuffed—a far cry from what it was throughout most of its first season.

Now Kristin dos Santos is reporting that Kring may be aiming to repeat the golden days of that first season by bringing back Bryan Fuller, an acclaimed television writer who has made a habit of creating cult shows. Fuller created Dead Like Me (though he left due to disagreements with the show’s drection), Wonderfalls (unjustifiably cancelled by Fox), and most recently, the sweetly morbid Pushing Daisies. He was a producer throughout most of season one of Heroes, wrote two of the best episodes of the series (most notably, “Company Man”), and was also responsible for much of Claire’s plotline.

While still unconfirmed, Fuller’s return could be exactly what the show needs right now. It may be difficult to recall today, but season one of Heroes was a refreshingly tight narrative experience (until the finale at least). At the time Lost was muddled in its own convoluted plot machinations, and Heroes served as a sort of anti-Lost for genre television. It’s ironic that today the situation is almost exactly reversed now that Lost is back to kicking ass.

The only issue with Fuller’s return is that he’ll have to spend less time with his current baby, Pushing Daisies. He could balance his time between both shows—it’s certainly not unheard of—but his potential availability may also hint that Pushing Daisies may not return next season, which is something I’m not quite prepared to think about just yet.

I kind of hope they really say fuck you to Loeb and hire Ken Biller.

Every time I watch this show, all I can think of is that they need to kill off Suresh already.

(slightly spoilery character info for those of you who haven't seen all the episodes)

Spoiler:
Hopefully we've seen the last of Maya, which is great news. But hanging onto Suresh and killing off Adam Monroe?? Blasphemy.

Wrap up Suresh's story line ASAP and dump that character. The Petrelli family thing is getting silly as well - get rid of mom and Nathan soon. There is just too much shit happening for seemingly no reason. If we're being introduced to all of these new characters for some reason, get to it already. It's almost like the writers didn't learn anything from unnecessarily giving us Maya and Alejandro last season.

Here's some more of Fuller's potential return to Heroes.

"I am exclusive to Daisies through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which will be mid-January," Fuller explained to EW. "If Daisies isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at Heroes."
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Pushing-...tor-35436.aspx

That's a tough call between Heroes getting good again and Pushing Daisies.
