Heroes -- "Eris Quod Sum" -- 10.27.2008

From the NBC site:
Spoiler:
Caught in a horrible experiment, Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Tracy (Ali Larter) fight for their lives against a much-changed, monstrous Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) who's holding them and Maya (Dania Ramirez) as "test subjects." Elle (guest star Kristen Bell) returns, with a shock for Claire (Hayden Panettiere) and her family. Meanwhile Angela (Cristine Rose), aware of Peter's (Milo Ventimiglia) ruthless takedown by her rivals at Pinehearst, reaches out to convince Sylar (Zachary Quinto) to save his brother. Since she is unable to convince Matt (Greg Grunberg) to join the Villains, Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) is ordered by her boss to go back and kill him - or be killed herself. While in awe of the African precog's power, Hiro (Masi Oka) still questions Usutu's (guest star Ntare Mwine) advice on how to best face his gathering opponents. Jack Coleman and James Kyson Lee star. Alan Blumenfeld, Ashley Crow, Robert Forster, Jaime Hector and Blake Shields guest star.

Spoiler:
Kristen Bell is in this episode

Reason enough for me to watch this week.

Other than that I'm only sticking around hoping for a big shakeup to happen (big plot twist, killing off some characters (FOR REAL)). If it doesn't come soon Heroes may get dropped.

Please, please kill Suresh and/or Maya. They destroyed Suresh in Season Two and Three is even worse.

Sadly, between One Tree Hill, Raw and Game 5, Heroes gets the shaft, tonight. Not too disappointing, but I'll catch the replay on G4 tomorrow night.

But if you kill the nararator who will give the lame "vaguely tie it all together" speech at the end of every episode?

Well, they been using someone else for the past few episodes (more like a recap though...but I never saw Season 1 and 2 on broadcast TV so I don't know if that was there before). But just because he is dead does not mean he can't start and close the episodes. His character is just....bad.

Are you sure about that? I think it has always been Suresh who has narrated.

Glad to see [spoiler] return. Read in EW this week that this was going to happen and tie into a flashback/creation episode for some VERY important characters (how they got their powers, learned to use them).

Did anyone read the Entertainment Weekly article about the show? Or did you already commented about this in the previous thread. Really good read, with some spoilers.
I don't think they can save "Villains" but next volume, beginning in January, looks interesting.

Edit: I just checked the previous thread.

I know Suresh typically narrates, but there is someone else at the start...who recaps the previous episode. Has that guy always been there?

I did skim through that article. I didn't realize they were breaking up season 3 into 2 separate volumes.

I thought Nathan narrated one of the recent episodes, but I can't find any definitive proof of it. Also, didn't Linderman do the opening narration in a S1 episode?

EDIT: Ok, maybe it wasn't Nathan, but someone else did do the opening narration this season (link), followed by Mohinder's normal narration.

I think I heard Nathan at least once. I'd prefer that anyway...oddly, he's become one of my favorite characters.

Also, like I said last week, the shittiest part of the jump to the future means Suresh probably isn't going anywhere for awhile. Which sucks. I've hated him from the beginning. I wish he would have died and his father stuck around. I like that actor.

Hiro isn't dead. I am assuming he will be painting the future here soon. What's up with next week? The next episode looks interesting.

Crap, gotta wait 2 weeks. At least Prison Break is back next week.

Pretty good episode. Interesting that Sylar saved Peter from the fall. No idea who is the real villian... Angela or Arthur Petrelli or both.

This was the best episode since season one.

I suspect that this show is pretty close to cancellation though.
