This is my thought as well. 13 is on the way out and Taub has never interested me, but I like Kutner and I think the 5 person group dynamic works well.

I have a 5 minute pad on the end of House. I use to get cut off all the time. Sucked.

They have exits for both 13 and Taub. 13 with the huntington disease, and Taub with his martial difficulties.

How many of you rewatched the opening scene over and over again?

If you didn't , now you can:

What has Kutner ever done to make him the one to keep on the show? He has been horrible from the start and he is always wrong. The only reason they are keeping him around is because he has a name. Maybe my hate for the actor is clouding my judgment but you could lose him from the show and nobody would notice.

There were so many opportunities for such comments that went unfulfilled however...I found it hard to believe House wouldn't have had more of a field day with it

Are House and Wilson back to normal? It looked like they were back to being friends again, despite all that Wilson said in the first episode.

I did miss last weeks episode, so maybe the answer was there.

We'll never get back to House and the original three again, but I am starting to really hate the new team, including 13 (although I love Olivia Wilde). I just wish they'd hurry up and cut the team or move them off somewhere else, ala original team.

There is no way Chase and Cameron will ever work with House again in the same capacity as in previous seasons. With the way the show is being written now, I'm still amazed that we even get any screentime from Morrison and Spencer.

Taub, Kutner and 13 don't get on my nerves as most of you. As long as we have House, Cuddy and Wilson interacting, then the show will always be good in my book.

As for this episode, I really liked it. It definitely started out with a bang. I'm actually glad that they gave some more story for Olivia Wilde's character.

I feel the same way. That's the meat of the show, the team and the somewhat repetitive cases are just the gravy.

Agreed on all points. Shoot, as far as I'm concerned they could rotate House's team every season or 2 and it would still work well. Just leave Cuddy and Wilson in the mix and we still have a great show. And they could also finally ditch the original 3 because frankly they're nothing but bitter X-House students.

I wouldn't say Taub, Kutner, or 13 get on my nerves, but they're really not too interesting. I do miss the old team, there was much better chemistry. I know they did it to change it up and feared the show getting stale, but the ratings have dropped considerably. I read an interview where the strike messed up the old team being on the show more. We should be seeing more of Chase and Cameron this season.

no need to pad if you record fringe after house

was kind of hoping he was actually going to stick to firing 13 since they seem to like to fire people on the show and then bring them back.

Why would she take a treatment for something she doesn't have?

Could someone please tell me WHY Fox waits eight days before putting its eps online? My DirecTV HD-DVR went nuts on Tues. and didn't record this one, and now I have to watch the next one before I can see this one?
I know CBS and ABC don't do this, so why Fox?

I think it's a rights issue. Considering that NBC/Universal produces the show and they probably have a stricter window agreement with FOX and Hulu before the episodes can be posted online.

Hey, I'm only repeating what was in an EW interview. You can decide how much David Shore is (mis)leading you.

Makes a little sense that way, I guess, but Fox needs to get with the program and work this out, since they appear to be the only network with the annoying 8-day waiting period...

I think abrg's point is

Spoiler:
that Thirteen doesn't have "Hutchinson's," as you said in your post -- she has Huntington's.

I guess I'm one of the few who really likes the new team. They aren't super interesting, but they're good enough for House to play off of. Though, I agree with GiantRobo, in that they could change the team every 2 seasons and that would be fine. Most of the fun from the new team (just like the old team) was House figuring out their secrets and such. Once all that is on the table, it kind of becomes bland -- like it did with the original team.

It was funny hearing Foreman being called boring, since he is such a lame character now. He has absolutely no teeth now. I hope they do something with him now (it would have been great if he was the one giving the business to 13 at the end of the ep).
