Worst Week

Yep, it's Earl's Mom. I am actually starting to like the show. Yes, it is definitely a case of ridiculous situations that you can see coming a mile away - but that's the entire premise.
I think the pilot rubbed us the wrong way because SO MUCH ridiculous stuff happened - showed up at the house in a diaper, pissed on the goose, burned the painting. Those were all so over the top.

Over the course of its run this season, Worst Week elicited more laughs from me than most all the other 4 comedies put together that I watch this season. You just have to surrender your "that's so unsensible" reflex and just roll with it.

That's exactly why I hated the show at first - I didn't expect it to make it out of 2008. But now the show picks its spots, focuses on plot and character, and has become one of my favorites this season. And the music rocks!

I flippin' love Worst Week and think that Kyle Bornheimer and the girl who play his wife are freaking hilarious. This started off as a low priority show but it's now one of my faves.

Is "Worst Week" done for this season?
There's something to be said about a show where you can lie on the couch in a comfy position, and just giggle throughout most of the episode, welcoming the commercial break just to catch your breath in spots.

Yes, Worst Week is done for this year, but I'm hoping at the up fronts in May, that they at least announce this as a mid season replacement show.
This is by far the funniest of the Monday night comedies, because it doesn't follow the usual 'sitcom' format.
Once again the America viewing public is so conditioned to watch the same 'ole' comedies that this is the lowest rated of the 4 comedies.

CBS canceled the show.
And I didn't know they aired the final 16th episode on June 6.

Now of course they ended up doing three "weeks" (The Party, The Wedding, and The Birth), but the other two were resolved.
Perhaps CBS was a bit hesitant to show this episode due to the weed references, or maybe the gay references. I don't know, but its nice they finally aired the thing.

I'm going to miss this show, but, it WAS titled WORST WEEK. Not WORST LIFE. So... I'm happy my tivo snagged it... I had no idea, and the episode was pretty funny.

Re: Worst Week
This makes sense...when I was watching the series when it aired, I had dvr'd eps 3-8 or something and thought somehow I had missed one because it just felt like that...now I know why - CBS aired out of order - weak. Didn't know they were showing it this past week so I missed it. Loved this show, such a good cast. I'll miss it.

i was surprised to find this on the TiVo as well. Then i read the description and remembered that I also thought I missed an episode early in the season. They never showed the dad's party. Very weird to skip that episode...

Re: Worst Week
Glad my DVR picked this one up as I had no idea about it. Felt really odd to be watching the conclusion to that story line so far after the episodes (and after they'd moved on to other stories), but it was still pretty good. I always wondered why there wasn't a follow-up to the truck ending the episode before.
