I watched the season premiere of MadTV to see how it was (hadn't seen the show in years)...it was WAY worse than SNL and that is saying a lot. Horrendous.

I couldn't disagree more. On it's WORST night, "MadTV" is 100,000 times better than "SNL". And that's saying a lot. Because it's not great. The "I'll Kiss A Girl" spoof video with Ellen DeGeneres was funnier than the entire 90 minutes of "SNL" this past week.

Mad TV should be held to a higher level though. They can take their time in writing and they can do re-takes.

Look, "SNL" has never had that luxury. The first 25 years give or take some change hasn't been as bad as these past few seasons. The show needs a complete reboot. New writers and several new cast members.

I caught this again and I forgot to mention originally how lame I thought it was that they censored out the 'dicks,' replacing them with 'ding-dongs.' Haven't we heard much racier material already on this show?
