Oh, that's right. This is on tonight. And here I was hoping for Robert Downey Jr.

Oh well.

Robert Downey Jr., with special guest Val Kilmer...

VK: "Look up the word 'idiot' in the dictionary. Know what you'll find?

RDJ: "A picture of me?"

VK: No! The definition of the word 'idiot,' which you f**king are!"

Artie Lange sans twenty-two pounds : "Peppa!

Gizmo 09-20-08 09:52 PM

Sweet! DVRing it for sure. No more Fey, right?

William Fuld 09-20-08 09:53 PM

Looking forward to next week.

Rypro 525 09-20-08 09:54 PM

No, Fey is returning next week though. Also, next week is the first time there's decent music (sorry, can't stand Kings of Leon.)

Rypro 525 09-20-08 10:39 PM

man, the opening monologue sucked.

Anna Feris and Duffy

god, i might bail now. I don't think i laughed once during that skit.

Brent L 09-20-08 10:51 PM

Agent 4:20.

Nice.

Snowmaker 09-20-08 10:54 PM

The laser is a toy lightsaber.

Rypro 525 09-20-08 10:55 PM

was there even a joke at the end?

No, they were just stoned.

Big Boy Laroux 09-21-08 12:16 AM

not many laugh out loud moments, but it definitely got some chuckles. i thought it was pretty consistent, about a solid C. I did like the OJ Juror selection sketch.

And I do like Kings of Leon, and I thought they were great.

Rypro 525 09-21-08 12:34 AM

yeah, i laughed at the oj skit. Did the 'Of Mice and Men' skit scream 100% random, i mean some of it was funny, but it didn't really seem to have a puropose there, except as filler.

shaun3000 09-21-08 12:34 AM

I thought it was pretty solid. The host did a decent job in the skits and the skits weren't completely absurd. (Some absurdity is good but only so much!) Some of the skits were long but they weren't dragging on, rehashing the same joke twenty times.

shaun3000 09-21-08 12:35 AM

None of them have any purpose. I thought it was funny, though I'm sure half the audience didn't get it. I'd rather them take chances on things like that than shit like Debbie Downer. (I mean, really)

MrX 09-21-08 12:44 AM

Agent 4:20 was good and the OJ skit had a few laughs, the stuff after WU was terrible.

JTH182 09-21-08 01:18 AM

The Willem Dafoe sketch at the end was ok for an end of the night piece.

"I thought there was a mirror!" lol

Giantrobo 09-21-08 02:06 AM

The show was ok.

Lotsa Wiig

TheKing 09-21-08 03:15 AM

This episode was much better than last week. Still not a great episode...or even a good one, but better than last week.

from wikipedia
"Cameron Diaz reprises her role in "The Cougar Den" sketch. "

LorenzoL 09-21-08 06:18 AM

I chuckled at the OJ and the William Dafoe skits along with WU. I hated the rest especially the "Cougar Den" skit.

Goldberg74 09-21-08 09:13 AM

I liked the "Of Mice and Men" sketch... and the Willem Dafoe one too.

The rest fell flat for me.

I do have to say that Franco was the better actor in some of the sketches, he was certainly the best part of "The Cougar Den."

As for the cold open, I liked Hader's "sarcastic" tone and the Charack Omarkley.
