Kitchen Nightmares---"Giuseppi's"---9/18/08
Once The Office and CSI premiere, I'm probably going to have to drop this show and catch it online when I have time.

I thought this episode was pretty good. This might have been because this place is about 5 miles from my house and I pass by it everyday. Never been there, but may have to pop in for lunch sometime.

I wonder if the father got back into the restaurant biz not so much to pass it along to his son but because he could not stay away from it. He definitely showed that last night when he was repeatedly asked to leave the kitchen.
Hopefully they are back on track and the father and mother can resolve their debt and enjoy their autumn years.

Unfortunately with Survivor and The Office starting on Thursday, I'm forced to drop this show especially with 2 episodes airing next week which conflict with my DVR and the 2-hour Survivor premiere. If I have time I may catch them online in the near future.

I absolutely hated this episode. Everything about it was so fake. I literally wanted to puke when Gordon was playing family counselor and the Giuseppi's were all crying and hugging.

Episode sucked
Unrelated
I work down the block from the restaraunt in the 1st episode of the series
DILLONS that was turned into a real indian place and was recently featured in the 'HOW ARE THEY DOING NOW' episode.
Should I have dinner there sometime and report back to DVDTAlk?

Wtf is this, Gordon Ramsay: Family Psychiatrist?
Episode sucked beyond words. The son was a whiny little prick who seemed to be ladling on the sappy emotion extra thick, no doubt at the insistence of the producers. Next week looks to be making up for it. I really hope Gordon gives it to that smug cocksucker real good.

I ate at PETER'S (from season 1) this weekend. First I'll say the place is TINY compared to how it looked on TV. the cameras really made it look MUCH bigger than it actually is. Neither Peter, his sister, or his father were there ( I asked for them)...our waiter didn't speak english, and my chicken marsala was rubbery.

Yep. I'll TiVo it in SD (not sure the HD content is really important on this show), but I'll probably end up watching it on Hulu.

I liked it to a certain extent - I liked the cook off, the food was obviously good. Ramsey didn't have to come in and teach them how to make food - both father and son were good enough and had some skill.
I truly think the problem with this place was that the father was not willing to put enough trust into his son.
