I'll probably keep watching this until it gets bumped by other better stuff. Not bad, but not all that great either.
|
I wish 90210 JUST focused on the old cast.
I couldn't give two shits about any of the new cast members. |

lol...someone get rid of the token black kid.... or give him some better lines...
|
I caught the repeat on the cw tonight, I liked it, I thought the bowling night was a funny idea. It was nice to see they brought back the actress who played Kelly's mom, but I don't remember her playing the drunk or having a coke problem.
|
Mmm...more Silver. So who's the daddy (probably a sweeps week episode when he returns)? Naomi's daddy issues are the only thing that isn't all that interesting, while the family stuff is at least watchable.

I don't know if this is a bonafide spoiler for who the father is but on the GLOBAL TV (canada) preview for next week:
Spoiler:
|
I didn't look at the spoiler, but I would guess Dylan because 1) she mentioned an old high school flame and 2) I would find it outside Brandon's character to not be involved as a father.

Also, if Brandon was the father, then Brenda would be the aunt to Kelly's son.

My guess is Dylan, but how old are the original 90210 characters supposed to be. 33? 34? Luke Perry would have a hard time passing for that if they brought him back.

Well here goes most of my interest for the rest of the season. Official 'announcement':
Los Angeles (E! Online) – Well, the bitch was back. Just not for long. While Shannen Doherty made a triumphant return to the nation's most famous ZIP code last week, Brenda Walsh's alter ego has announced that her comeback will be more short-lived than some fans may want, revealing that she is unlikely to appear in the new 90210 beyond the first four episodes. And not because she wasn't wanted. "Shannen was signed to do four episodes, and we've always made it clear we'd love for her to do more," a source close to the production told E! News. "There's a possibility for her to come back." "They asked me to do a lot more," Doherty told Entertainment Weekly, adding that it was scheduling conflicts with another gestating project that prevented her from continuing on as the relocated Minnesota twin. "I'm in the middle of pitching a show, [so] I couldn't commit to more than [I did]." Doherty's run on the original 90210 ended after the fourth season, when Brenda Walsh was dispatched to London never to return amid reports of on-set friction, including the now-infamous catfight with fellow Beverly Hills denizen Jennie Garth. In recent interviews, Doherty and Garth say they have patched things up and had no trouble working together on the new incarnation of 90210. News of Doherty's departure comes in the wake of Garth agreeing to star in five more episodes of 90210, E! News confirms, bringing Kelly Taylor's total to 11—should the first season show survive that long, which, ratings-wise, it looks like it will. Last week's two-hour series premiere averaged nearly 5 million viewers, becoming the CW's highest-rated scripted show ever. The show's second outing this week fell slightly to an average of just 3.3 million viewers, but maintained its stronghold on the coveted 18- to 34-year-old fairer-sex demographic. |
First 4 episodes? She wasn't even in this one.
|
Or the first one.

this show will not last. it is just plain awful and the girl from Nip/Tuck cannot act to save her life. those two faces she made when she found out her dad was sleeping around, then when her mom know about it...i know this show is destined for the hall of shame. too bad too. i watched for nostalgia sake, but thank god for Soap.net!!! |
The 2 hour premiere was 2 episodes. I don't think she showed up until part 2.

That was comedy gold. |
I liked episode 3 alot better than 1 and 2 combined. From the way Kelly was describing who the father was, it has to be Dylan. But, it's doubtful they can get him on from what I've read.
I still think AnnaLynne McCord is a horrible actress. The whole father sleeping with another woman is a tired stoyline. The family night thing was entertaining. Rob Estes and Lori Loughlin are fun to watch along with Shenae Grimes. I disagree with Scott1598, even though you think the show sucks, The CW has way too much money and promotion invested in it. Plus, it's an in-house production as well. It will get the back 9 order sooner than later. |
Entertainment Weekly says that Jennie Garth is now signed on for 5 more episodes (she originally agreed to do just 6)

An interesting read here about Jason Priestly.
http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2008/...ive-jason.html Apparently he's booked up until 2009 (acting and directing in other projects) So, there's no shot of him appearing or directing on the show. It says he was approached to do a cameo on the pilot, but declined. |
Well after 3 episodes I'm out. The only good thing I can say about this show is that it looks great in HD.
None of the new characters are memorable and everyone seems to have a smile on their faces, unless they are really depressed. That worked well in the 'innocent' 50 shows, but this is the 00's and stuff like that is not realistic. I don't even remember the original 90210 cast smiling so much and most of their characters are still memorable. So, this is my first drop for the season. Have fun. And falling from 5M to 3.3M viewers is NOT a slight drop. Sure their coveted demo's are still good, but if the drop in viewership continues that won't matter. Chris |
The Bowling "Family Night" was boring and predictable.
What parents wouldn't postpone their night out so the kids could see the new Bond movie???? So, I gave it another try. Hate the rich spoiled girl and the rich guy who flys people all over on dates. i don't even remember their names. Both the actors are terrible. |
it isnt great but it's ok. i will continue to watch
they need a total bitch character. |

Synopsis for tonight's episode Spoiler:
Yeah!! Brenda and Nat return!! Only 2 more episodes left with Brenda after tonight. |
Best episode yet...
Got some pretty big reveals.... |
Yes, this was the only episode so far that had me interested. Great reveal at the end.
|
Finally a solid episode. Keep this up, and I may stick around
|
I don't know if the chick playing Silver wears tinted contacts, but she has gorgeous eyes.
Also, who was playing the homewrecker - she looked familiar. |
Only 4 responses the day after? Either it's a highly DVR'd show around here or they're dropping like flies. I liked most of it. I don't think I'm ever going to enjoy any of Naomi's storyline and the play stuff fell a little flat. I like all of the Dixon/Silver stuff.
|
I'm still watching it, but it wasn't very memorable except for the baby's daddy reveal at the end and Lucille Bluth.
:) |
I like Naomi a bit more than when I saw the pilot...but so far I only really like Silver and Dixon. I thought the parents were going to be in the show a bit more?
