Almost as awful as the song/dance episode.

This was a so-so episode that just sank under its own weight of trying to be a clever tale in its medieval settings, while alternating back and forth with the present. Definitely not one of the stronger episodes of Scrubs.

Exactly. But, hey, what would you expect from a network poised to give Jimmy Fallon a talk show?

I laughed I think, once.

The first words out of my mouth were "Why the hell is Kelso back?" My fiancee said "maybe they're showing them out of order" and I thought "there's no way..." Wrong.

The ending was so god damn predictable. It was like the stereotypical scrubs ending. It wasn't surprising or emotional in the least. All I could think was, "Wow there's something they've never done before" /sarcasm.

Not a good episode. I have to admit though, the musical episode grew on me after a few viewings, and now I'd have to put it in my top ten favorite episodes of the series (if I actually kept such a list).

It seemed like this show would have fit much better 1-2 eps after the near kiss. Keith was on, still showing signs of a broken heart with Elliot, and we haven't seen him in how long? Like everyone else has said, I was disappointed and confused and can only hope that the DVD will be in the proper order....

Considering I had such high expectations with this episode, I was sorely disappointed. Weakest one of the entire season.

It was also jarring to see Keith back. I had already closed the door on his character. Showing it out of order really messed up the feel of the show. Poor way to end the NBC run of the show.

On a side note, it was nice to see Hiro Nakamura in the potion shoppe, even if it was as his alter-ego of Franklin the lab tech.

I wish now I was still waiting for this episode... It was a lot better in theory.

I thought it was just going to be a Fantasy episode but I like how they intermixed it with the main story.
Great episode. Liked it much better than the singing episode.

You know something? You're absolutely right. The fact that we haven't seen Keith around since episode 2 of this season ("My Hard Labor") means this episode was shown WAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of order. The way he was behaving in this episode it was like the breakup just recently happened...

I liked the singing episode, but frankly this was one of the worst episodes I've ever seen. What a hell of a way to go out. Fingers crossed for a good final run on ABC.

I'm surprised no one has brought up the similar Lost-type smoke monster that they had to fight.

I'm throwing in my vote for the musical episode as in my top three episodes (in fact the reason I started watching the series from the beginning was the number of people talking about it).

This episode was one of the worst. I'm not able to decide though if it was just an average episode made terrible by my confusion about Kelso. I kept waiting for them to bring it up or mention it in passing. This episode was obviously filmed before the Kelso Birthday episode.

Not to pile on but I also liked the musical and disliked this episode. It reeked of self-indulgence. Normally I cut episodes like this a little slack because the casts' enthusiasm can make up for other weaknesses when they try something new, but I didn't get that feeling here. Perhaps it's because, even though this episode was more fantastical than most, the cast actually gets to do stuff like this all the time in JD's fantasy sequences.

I was thrown by Kelso/Keith for the first segment, but once they got into story time I just figured it was being shown out of order. I didn't know this was the last episode, I thought perhaps they just held it for sweeps because it was a "Special" episode.

This was a bad episode in so many ways. But the worst part was the whole story revolving around Dr. Cox knowing what was wrong with the girl and just waiting around for J.D. & Elliot to figure it out for themselves. Way to screw over a patient just for a plot device Perry.

Yeah, that wasn't him...
