Carrier - PBS
Is anyone watching Carrier?
I watched the first two episodes last night, gotta say, I'm pretty hooked.
It's neat to see all the things that go on behind getting the planes in the air. The human drama stories I can do without.
It also looks like the first few episodes are available online at www.pbs.org.

I'm really enjoying it. Kudos to the Navy for not glossing over the less than stellar behavior of some of their enlistees. That being said, I'm glad I got out of the Navy before women were allowed on ship -- the quip about it being just like high school is spot on and I would have hated having to deal with all that nonsense. Let's see, we'll fill a ship with thousands of 18 and 19 year old kids, send them off for half a year, and then make it a punishable offense if they get it on. Brilliant plan.

so what do you do when a bunch of women end up pregnant? still going to be a morale issue since they are going to have to back to port and be replaced by someone else.
i was in support unit in the army once and the fuel platoon was at least half women. a lot of them were pregnant and the men had to do their jobs as well because you can't be pregnant and around a long list of chemicals
