South Park -- "Super Fun Time" 4/23/2008

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Mr. Garrison takes the kids on an educational field trip to a living museum, Pioneer Village, where all the workers remain dedicated to staying in character. While there, Cartman makes Butters sneak away from the class to go to the amusement center located next door.

Cartman - "Oh my Jesus Christ Monkey Balls!" A Butters/Cartman adventure?! Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!

(This is the final episode of this run BTW.)

He should've took them to a box factory instead.

I can't wait to see this one.

Very solid. If I were really geeked up for a good Butters and Cartman episode, I might be a bit disappointed. I wasn't, though. I didn't read this thread until after I wathed the episode.

I liked how the B story paid off in the A story with Butters knocking out the bad guy by using Cartman to beat him.

The Sigue Sigue Sputnik Love Missile F1-11 conversion to Super Phun Thyme was excellent.

Hilarious. I loved when Butters slap Cartman. I need an animated GIF of that like now.
Solid Diehard references.

I could not stop laughing at how the Pioneer Village employees wouldn't break character, no matter what was happening.

In my opinion, this was by far the best episode of this session.

When does the next run begin?

If they follow what they have been for years, early October would be the start.

I just watched again and didn't realize the first time that he shuffled through the whopper like it was a stack of bills.

I like how Stan wouldn't play along becuase he didn't want to look like a dork in front of Wendy, and then his ultimate sacrifice was playing in character. "Wendy look away"

And the employee shooting the other one because he was about to break character!

Great episode.

Didn't do much for me. Had a few chuckles but overall it was one of those that I doubt will live in SP infamy.

I don't understand all the love, this was the worst episode of the season. The best part was Butters completing his mission!

I'm with the last two opinions: good, but far from great.

Butters + Cartman = gold

The rest was just OK, and the "in character" stuff got old.

Anybody else notice Cartman playing 'Thirst for Blood' in Super Phun Thyme? I thought he had that for his Okama Gamesphere.

Anyhow great episode. The Butters crying bit was classic!!

I think anyone who's been to a place like this knows what it's like. I know I went way too many times on school trips to Plymouth Plantation growing up, and they NEVER break character. It's absolutely hilarious they picked up on that.

Also, I can't believe Kenny didn't get killed.

Mediocre episode, I'd give it a B-. But, it's pretty hard to top Brazilian fart porn
