I don't know whose stubbornness was funnier - Butters not letting go of Cartman or the Village Employees to stay in character.

Personally, neither. Not a whole lot to laugh at in that episode... And was that the first time we've seen Jimmy this season?

I thought it was funny enough. As usual, Butters was the best part, and one of the greatest SP endings ever.

+1

Surprised about all of the love. I thought that it was pretty weak.

I think though this episode like the underrated softball episode, doesn't need to have a message, or social commentary to be great. This was about the kids and a very funny situation that befalls them. I may be biased to Butter's episodes, but this took the cake. His determination and the little bit of animation nuances, like when he's kicking his leg, in hopes that Cartman will pick him, are sheer brillance. The hanging from the light post was just hysterical. And then there's the over the top violence, every element that makes South Park fun and unique was included in this episode - it was definately one of my favourites.

This episode was just plain silliness, and Butters shined. That's all I need for a classic. A+
