Glad to see Crazy Quilt wasn't played as Fool but was a dangerous foe for our Heroes.
The opener was FABS. Nice Homage to the 60's Live-Action Show with: The Hot-Phone,
Flip-open head of William Shakespear, and of course Bruce and Dick sliding down the Bat-Poles.
Also please to see Robin wearing the Earth-2 uniform which was always a favorite of mine.
Other then Robin's Adult voice sounding a little off, Maybe too whiny, this was a solid
episode.

Yesterday I watched the Caveman ep and the Crazy Quilt ep on CN's site.
Both were pretty good. I also geeked out when I saw Robin's Earth-2 uniform.
The 60's show Homage was cool too.

Holy headlights, Batman!
How did they get away with the Schumacher joke in the Bat-Mite episode?
This show continues to exceed my original expectations. I love it.

so bat-mite is similar to Mr. Mxyzptlk right? i'd never heard of bat-mite before that episode. really liked it, though. all the batman villains chasing him in that sequence was cool.

They are from the same universe. Batmite is just annoying instead of evil like Superman's villain. I don't think he is that old of a character. I think he might have come out in the 90s. hmmm just looked him up. I guess he first came out way back in 1959.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network
The thought of a Batmite episode would normally make me wince (I remember the late 70's cartoon series that had Batmite), but this was a lot of fun. Ideal voice casting Paul Reubens for Batmite.
I've only seen a few episodes, but I like how give nods to The Batman in all his various incarnations. Just watched the Batmite episode online and not only was there the Schumacher joke (too icky!), but the Frank Miller Dark Knight (too psycho!), the 60's TV series, various Elseworlds incarnations and a lengthy homage to Daffy Duck's The Great Piggy Bank Robbery.
I had a pretty good laugh at the literal response to the "this is not my Batman" fanboy convention. You would think fanboys would have fun with this series, picking up all the Batman historical references and in-jokes.

loved all the winks at the fans in the bat-mite episode. Of course the cycling through the various costumes, but also the statement bat-mite made at the convention about all incarnations of batman being true to the original, even if they vary slightly or are more comedic.

LEGEND OF THE DARK KNIGHT is now my All-Time Favorite Batman episode from any series or movie.
It was just flat-out FUNNY!!!
Opens in the Jungle Hideway of Catman who is trying to auction off a prize Tiger.
Batman and Ace: The Bat-Hound stopped the bidding.
Main Story. Batman stops a robbery and meets his number one fan, Bat-Mite.
After that all sorts of wackiness happens.
Bat-Mite gives the Calendar Man amp up powers.
Glad they used the Walter Simonson design custome from Batman #312.
Bats turns the tables on Bat-Mite and has Bat-Mite fight his foes.
An Array of classic and c-list villians make an appearance chasing Bat-Mite
around LOONEY TUNES Style. BWHAAAA!!!!
Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, The Mad Hatter, Two-Face, Zebra Man, Killer Moth, Kite-Man, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, Polka-Dot Man, and
Mr. Freeze.
WAIT!!! They actually went back called Mr. Freeze by his original name,
Mr. Zero and use his original Green/Red uniform. COOL!!!
Batman #121.
Bat-Mite was voiced by Paul R. aka Pee Wee Herman.

But I don't think some of the bits would have worked as well, especially the sidecar gag. I also loved the climbing up the side of the building in the opener... awesome.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network
not a big deal, but i disagree. The sidecar gag worked because grayson was trying to be "the man" and still had to ride in the sidecar because his bike was busted. That would have worked as Robin or Nightwing.
And not sure if the climbing comment was also directed at that, but i was saying to leave it as Robin in the opener.

The Red Tornado and Son story was so-so.
Not surprise by the ending.
I like the teaser alot more with Batman and Green Arrow chasing down the Joker.
Although I wish they would tone down the rivaly angle between Bats & GA.
Also get a brief look at Catwoman.
This friday Jonah Hex rides into the spotlight.

I finally caught up with this show in rerurns and liked it a lot. The reruns got a little heavy (up to three per day) and they seemed to be cycling through the same ones so I removed it from my DVR list before I went on vacation, but I probably saw 8-10 episodes.

I hope to never hear the words "Music Meister" sung again as long as I live.
NPH is a great singer and I loved Dr. Horrible, but the repetition in these songs made my ears bleed.

yeah, I didn't care much for the songs either. I wish they would have been peppier, instead they sounded pretty generic and flat. Good to see the show back though.

I wasn't a fan of the Music Meister episode either, but my kids enjoyed it. I was surprised the hear them singing "I'm the Music Meisterrrrrr!" while they were playing together a couple days after we watched the episode. Ultimately, the show is made for them, so I guess it was a win.
On a side note, I've just started playing LEGO Batman on PS3, and it is quite funny. I'd recommend it to any Bat-fan. The subtle things in the cut-scenes are especially good.

I actually thought it was kind of quirky fun. Definitely not something they should do frequently, but maybe once a season or so.

i'm middle of the road on it.
+1 for Quirky fun that happens once a season or so.
-1 for extremely repetitive songs. They showed the Music Meister in various music outfits (punk, grunge, etc.), but the songs never seemed to change.

Ok, I'm watching this ep on CN's site and I AM LOVING the music!! It reminds me of the music and singing in Sweeney Todd (Depp). The production value is really good too.
