too bad. it's really grown on me. love the team up aspect of it. but, if we get a grittier, darker version of bats, i'd be ok with that.

A handfull of characters made their first appearance in animation on the last episode.
ANTHRO and CINNAMON had cameos in the teaser.
SPACE RANGER and ULTRA: THE MULTI-ALIEN appear after the opening credits fighting along side the GLC.

These pre-credit cliffhangers are a little odd. The Starro ones were at least connected and leading up to something. The recent ones don't seem to be going anywhere.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Last week's Flash episode was a great story for fans of the Silver Age Flash, Barry Allen. This week's episode featuring the Doom Patrol had a very odd tone and tried to fit in too much plot for one episode. I would much rather have seen a full episode with the Barbara Gordon Batgirl that opened the show.

I love the voice casting sometimes. John Wesley Shipp as Professor Zoom - nice homage without taking the obvious route. Little twists like that seem to add to the fun for me.

I didn't catch that, but he did sound familiar. That's great that he voiced Zoom. I love watching this show with my kids. I felt like quite the geek when I had to pause the episode to explain why there were three Flashes and what their names were. My kids (5 and 7) were starting to get a little confused!

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Interesting tib-bit.
In the comics Batgirls first appearance she took on Killer Moth.
In the live-action 60's show, Barbara took on the Penguin.
In Batgirl's first time on B:TB&TB both Killer Moth and Penguin appeared in the teaser.

The Doom Patrol story was steller.
I actually had tears running down my face.
The Circus posters were interesting. Many members from the comic DP were on display. Beast Boy and Dorothy Spinner are two that I recall.

Ok, that Flash ep was AWE-SOME.

Seeing all three Flash's and even Prof. Zoom was truly cool.

I also enjoyed the Outsiders.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Did they explain (in one of the many episodes I missed) how the Outsiders changed from their "teenager" look to their comic look? At this point, I hope they put full season sets out on DVD/Blu-ray because it is really a pain to try to keep up on CN.

I caught the Starro 2-parter, which was great... I loved the interplay of Firestorm/Captain Marvel/Booster, the cameos of all the space heroes like Ultra, Space Ranger, and Captain Comet, etc, and hey, a Gleek cameo. And the Flash 2-parter was great, though when they originally started I thought it would be a story of Wally becoming the Flash. Loved the Rogues "missing" Barry.

No, I don't remember the change being addressed in a particular episode.

After their initial appearance the next time they appeared it was clear that they were working with Batman on being better heroes. Not sure which ep(s) but I'm sure I saw it. I'm guessing as they got older they changed their costumes.

I can't find the Starro ep.

Yeah, that was a good ep. They pretty much retold what happened to DP but added Batman to the mix. They even used one of the comic covers but w/o the Beast Boy reference.

Most (all?) of those scenes introducing the Doom Patrol were recreations of their comic covers.

It would have been great if that bit was an episode of Roy Raymond: TV Detective.

Loved Larry's embarrassment with "He calls himself Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man".

Wow, that was a heavy ep. Not even a, "Hey look, someone made it" at the end.

That takes balls.

Spoiler:
I haven't read DP in a long time but from what I heard they are all alive again. No one stays dead in comic books for long but DP stayed dead the longest afaik.

The Opener with The Haunted Tank was Wicked-Fun.
Love the use of "The Dukes of Hazzard" style music.

The Main story with Blue Beetle(Ted Kord) and Booster Gold was ok.
I didn't like the villians after they transform into monsters.
But it was nice seeing Blue & Gold together again.

Not this episode. It was pure ZANY-FUN.

The opener has Batman and Robin taking on Firefly and his Rainbow Creature.
Batman has to wear a different color Bat-Suit for each night.
The Multi-Colored one was GROOVY.
This was partly based on a story from Detective Comics #241.

In the main feature BAT-MITE returns and he wants a rematch between
Batman and Joker.
Unfortunately he gives Joker his power. Lots of weird stuff happens including
the Joker killing Batman many times.
Harley Quinn make her first appearance. Although some thing about her just didn't click with me. Maybe it was voice.
The Ten-Eye Man appears at the beginning with Bat-Mite reading his Who's Who entry to the viewers.

Two Bat-Mite episodes equals two delightfull episodes.
Always hated Bat-Mite but this show has change my opinion of the little guy.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Upon first viewing I was disappointed in this episode.
I was expecting the Silver-Age Batwoman, Kathy Kane in a light-hearted adeventure with a possibile cameo from Bette Kane.

Instead we got a fairly dark story of a Batwoman name Katrina Moldoff who wants to kill The Riddler because 10 years earlier he had expose her secret Id
to the world and she had to retire.
This version of Batwoman was named after 50's/60's bat-artist Sheldon Moldoff.

But after a 2nd viewing I enjoyed it alot more.
Some nice humor in the Bat-Cave with Katrina, Nightwing, and Batgirl.
And Bruce learning the center himself differently.
Also The Spinner and Tiger-Shark get their 1-2 minutes in the limelight.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Proto Bat-bot was a little annoying, but well voiced by Adam West.

Nice touch adding Plastic Man to the Freedom Fighters episode since they and Plas were acquired when DC bought Quality Comics. Looked like a little venture into the Amalgam Universe too, when Batman
Spoiler:
was transformed into a patriotic, wing-headed shield slinger.

Some interviews about episodes still in the works.

http://www.movieweb.com/comic-con/20...ast-interviews

This is mostly old news, but the thought of the Drew Carey Show cast doing voices sounds fun. But who's left? Inferior Five? Also, note the comments that the article writer "corrects" someone's post about a third season, stating that only 13 episodes remain. I wonder if he realized he informed James Tucker, the show's producer of this?

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

The last episode was FABS.
Some time in the future Dick is now Batman while Bruce and Selina are married with a son, Damian.
Its amazing how they are able to mix and match many different eras of Batman into a workable and entertaining show.
