Hell's Kitchen---Season Premiere---4/1/08

I'm going to try to do weekly threads on this once again since it generated some decent discussion last summer.
4th season Synopsis: (Very generic)
World-renowned chef GORDON RAMSAY is back for a fourth course of the sizzling unscripted series HELL’S KITCHEN. Wannabe restaurateurs slice and dice their way through each episode, vying for Ramsay’s attention in hopes of winning a life-changing culinary prize.
The “steaks” are higher than ever -- the winner of the competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Ramsay’s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.
The kitchen gets hotter each week as Ramsay puts on the pressure, demanding absolute perfection. Frazzled chefs try to slice and dice their way to the top, as they vie for Chef Ramsay’s approval. The competition is more intense than ever. With more contestants and more dinner services, Gordon’s sharp-tongue and flared-temper is sure to cause some major meltdowns in the kitchen.

The "steaks"?
Puns aren't allowed near Gordon Ramsay. But thanks for this thread, I didn't know a new season was starting. Have been feeling a void since Kitchen Nightmare's season ended.

yeahhh! love this show and thanks for the reminder.
I record this show and FF to just them cooking - I could care less who gets kicked out - I just watch to see Ramsey flip out.

My wife and I might be in this episode. We were patrons at the "resturant" back in September and they told us then that it was the Premiere episode. We're one of the few people that actually got to eat.

I'm so looking forward to having this show back. I don't care if it follows the same formula every season -- it's still entertaining.
I just read Ramsay's autobiography "Roasting in Hell's Kitchen: Temper Tantrums, F Words and The Pursuit of Perfection" several weeks ago. Interesting.

Love this show! My gf and I have been waiting for it's return. I hope Gordon calls at least 3 people a "donkey" and let's another know he "nearly killed someone".

Gordon is the King!
For anyone that says that they would take a swing at Gordon for treating them so badly, he's not easy to hit. Check out his reflexes-

Best line of the night-when he described the small guy's mohawk as "toilet brush head".
I also noticed that we have yet again another group of chefs(I use that term loosely) that are chain smokers.

WTH? Did the casting director purposely try to find the dumbest guys possible to be on the show? Seriously, some of them looked like zombies in the kitchen. I refuse to believe they couldn't find slightly more intelligent chefs out there. These are all wanna be actors/actresses.
