This is the fun of the show.
Like any Line Cook is going to be picked to run a resturant
All I want to see is Ramsey chew them out.

I also noticed that we have yet again another group of chefs(I use that term loosely) that are chain smokers.

Still, the best line ever was at the Coastal Spain restaurant on BBC Kitchen Nightmares, where he called their steak kabobs "swinging donkey dicks".
I love the interplay between Ramsay and JP, and I wish they'd show more of it. They seem to really have a good time together, and they most certainly fuck with each other on Ramsay's F-Word on the BBC...

Yeah, Ramsay seems like a cool guy, I remember seeing that F-Word where him and Ricky Gervais were discussing sales strategy for Plopp chocolate and (shot of) Spunk vodka. Good stuff.

They film the show off Le Brea right ? There's a 99 cent store across the street, i think. ( behind the compound )

For some reason I think Tyra Banks has done that

Anyone else think Gordon looked like Craig T. Nelson while he was spying on the new contestants?
BTW, Gordon's best line in the US version of "Hell's Kitchen" has been the "Giraffe" comment.

I was LMAO the entire hour. Great to see Gordon back!!
I have to say that the Guy team is looking like a bunch of jackasses right of the bat. Defiitely no clear standout yet, but the fun of this show is seeing Gordon go off on these idiots.

This years contestants are the worst bunch. I am now convinced they are purposely looking for morons and people who don't know shit about cooking.
Either that or they can't get any good contestants any more. There is not one person in this cast I would want to win. I hope they bend the rules so everyone can fail.

Wow, I can't believe the first one kicked off the show was a "Mr. Mom" with no professional cooking experience Was his hair real? Nice chicken parmigiana, though. At least Gordon isn't throw it up

A lame group of people I couldn't care less about... which makes watching Gordon rip them to shreds even more satisfying!
Glad to see Mr. Mom go. He would have been this season's Aaron.
I don't see anyone becoming an executive chef, and there isn't even any good ass to look at this season! Oh well, still good to see Gordon back in the swing of things.

And anyone that actually "notices" that the chefs are chain-smokers obviously hasn't spent a lot of time in food service... Everyone in the restaurant industry smokes. Well, not everyone, obviously. I'd bet if you scientifically surveyed the industry, the level of smokers in the restaurant biz is probably 60% or higher.
