I believe the FBI agent wasn't killed because the Terminator recognized him as someone who had an important role in bringing about Skynet.
The agent is portrayed as a religious man. I think what will happen is that he will eventually come to believe that it is his responsibility to assist the terminators in some twisted belief that it will help trigger the events described in the book of Revelation.

I hope this comes back. Despite its flaws, it's a very entertaining show that manages to be a mindless diversion in a way that's not too stupid. Plus, the acting, action, and music are all quite excellent for a show like this.

How about Stargate two shows and 15 seasons and counting and another series on the way.

not specific to the finale, but something that's been bugging me
in T1 Kyle made seem, or out right said I can't remember for sure, that only living tissue could come back through the time machine. That's why he ended up being naked with no weapons.
T800 series terminators get around this be being covered in living skin
so, how did the T1000, T-X, and Cromartie's head make it through?
and speaking of cromartie, how'd his body just hang out in the past for 8 years? One would think the rubble from the bank explosion wouild have been gone through pretty well. I find it hard to believe the skeleton woudl just end up in a junk pile

maybe that one was sent back in time to 1900 and had 90 years to learn human behavior

Treatment part 1 - after killing the first Sarah Connor
Some kids who have gathered nervously at the curb step
back as he walks out, gets in the car, and drives away.
He pulls a Milky Way bar out of his pocket and eats it as
he drives, in two bites, without removing the wrapper.
Treatment part 2 - Reese explanation during the car chase
"See, this Terminator's not a guy, it's a machine. It's
made to look human so it can infiltrate."
"If it's a machine, how could it bleed?"
He pauses to swerve onto a freeway on-ramp, which a
pursuing squad car misses in a lateral slide. He winds to
110 on the freeway and answers:
"It's called a cyborg really. Cybernetic organism. A
machine put together with a living thing. The skin, and
some layers under it, the hair, the surface of the eyes,
and the inside of the mouth... all that stuff's human
tissue, genetically designed for the cyborgs. But
underneath it's all steel and titanium. Hydraulic
actuators instead of muscles. Controlled by a
microcomputer. It has to eat and breathe to keep the skin
alive, though a lot less than us... and there's a little
tiny heart and internal organs about the size of a
chicken's in a recessed compartment."
"This is insane."
"Yeah, tell me about it. See, it sweats and has bad
breath and feels totally human, so it can infiltrate real
well. I mean, they still used the 600 Series Hunter-
Killers and the other 'roach patrol' machines but..."
"I don't believe any of this," Sarah says. Frantic.
She seems about to scream.
"Yeah, well that's OK. But that doesn't mean it isn't
happening. You've got to accept and understand what this
thing is. It can't be reasoned with, it can't be
bargained with, it doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear...
and it absolutely will not stop, ever, once it has been
targeted. Unless it's destroyed."
Reese exits the freeway and blends into street traffic for
a while, abiding the law until he can find a place to
switch cars.

eh, there is a blurb in the Globe of all places (a tabloid) which states that even though fox hasn't officially announced it being renewed, shooting for season 2 is expected to start in june. In the article it mentioned that the actor playing John Connor wants to have sex with the Cameron character. I didn't get around to watching the show, but it was interested in checking it out.

I have always been a big fan of the Terminator Franchise. Terminator and T-2 are masterpieces. And I know T-3 wasn't all that well received, but I still enjoyed it for what it is worth. That being said, the fourth movie I have nothing but the highest expectations for (Christian Bale playing John is a dream come true).
As far as this series is concerned, I actually enjoy it quite a bit. I have found the acting to be stellar. I can't really criticize Lene Heady as Sarah, if only because she does a fine job considering the big shoes she had to fill. John Connor bitches a little too much for me, but then again, that seems to be somewhat consistent in each of the films until he finally demands to do something. Summer Glau is the perfect Terminator. The reason Arnold, Robert Patrick, and Kristanna Loken were all so well suited as Terminators was that they really didn't show much (if any) feeling or emotion. Summer is on point in that department. Kyle Reese is just great, nothing more to say on that really...his actions (toothbrush, willingness to kill) are all exactly what I would expect to find in a person sent back from the future where they are literally living underground with no luxuries.
I also think they are doing a decent job with the time traveling. It seems to be keeping roughly in line with the other movies, although from what I have heard T-3 will have occurred in an alternate time-line or something, but I'm not certain about that. Since this is supposed to take place after T-2, but before T-3 it seems plausible that there could even be another aspect of time travel worked into the show that could potentially negate the entire series (although I doubt they would do that). I'm still holding out for the connection to T-4 though.
Here's hoping another Season follows.
(Also, I read in here someone asked about Prison Break, and I heard it has been renewed).

I think this show is almost a lock for a second season. Since the show is produced out of house by Warner Brothers, there is probably alot of extra negotiations and money talks involved in getting it green lighted. I'm also curious to see if they pair this with 24 in January 2009 or attempt to launch it this fall with Prison Break.
