Considering the difficulty helicopters have in getting to and from the island (as we will see more of in next week's episode) then I would certainly believe this will be the case.

we never actually saw that vision either, desmond could have been lying to motivate charlie, we saw desmond offer to go in his place before charlie "oared" his head, maybe it was guilt because he lied about seeing claire on that chopper. remember, de really wanted to contact penny's boat...

Not a chance. The guy had an ultra pissed off look on his face when he yelled out.

Yes, it crossed my mind.

The problem with the ageless theory is that Ben and Alex both grew up on the island, and Aaron looks like he's aging just fine - he certainly doesn't look like a freshly born baby. He looks like the month and a half old (or whatever - I can't remember exactly when he was born but he can't be more than a couple months) that he is.

Maybe those born on the island grow normally with island time and since Ben and Alex were born elsewhere and came to the island their age's will slow down like everyone from 815.

Might be a stretch, but "Xanadu" was the name of the private estate of Charles Foster Kane in Citizen Kane.

"Here, on the deserts of the Gulf coast, a private mountain was commissioned and successfully built. One hundred thousand trees, twenty thousand tons of marble are the ingredients of Xanadu's mountain. Contents of Xanadu's palace: paintings, pictures, statues, the very stones of many another palace - a collection of everything so big it can never be catalogued or appraised; enough for ten museums; the loot of the world. Xanadu's livestock: the fowl of the air, the fish of the sea, the beast of the field and jungle. Two of each; the biggest private zoo since Noah. Like the Pharaohs, Xanadu's landlord leaves many stones to mark his grave. Since the Pyramids, Xanadu is the costliest monument a man has built to himself"

Alex was born on the island. Rousseau was seven months pregnant when she arrived on the island.

So
Spoiler:
backwards-talking
is the second magical thing to happen off-island. The first being
Spoiler:
the smoke monster leaving the room with Hugo at the mental institution.

Maybe when the Oceanic 6 came back, they brought the island evils with them and are constantly being reminded to go back to set things right.

People are saying he "moved" like the black smoke.

I agree it's a stretch.

i don't know if they all start with blue eyes, but yes, baby's eyes change color. I believe they begin to change in the 8 month - 1 year range. so Aaron on the island is VERY far away from that age.

Even Hugo gives a freaked out look right after the thing leaves the room then at the end of the episode when talking to Jack he says, "it wants us to come back."

My guess is that Kate's trial took place sometime in 2006. On the day of the Crash, Edward Mars mentions that Kate's old bf Tom died a couple of years prior. I'll estimate 2002. Tom died on the same day that Kate met her mother who was supposedly dying of cancer already. In Eggtown, Kate's mother said she had been told that she'd been dying for 4 years now. So that probably puts the trial in 2006. Just my guess.

It is Sawyer's kid and the kid reminds him their relationship.

Absolutely incorrect. Wow, did you watch the episode on Thursday?

It's Claire's kid that Kate is passing off as her own. Either the child reminds Jack of what happened to Claire or leaving her behind and taking the baby. Or maybe even of his father.

But Sawyer don't factor in AT ALL.

That's not turnip head. Kate was lying when she said she wasn't pregnant.

No way they would let Kate keep Claire's Aaron with her background. Are you saying they simply believe her story that the child is hers even though she is a chronic liar? They would've done a blood test on her and the baby. If they matched, she keeps it. If not, it goes up for adoption. Therefore, the baby is not Claire's and must be Sawyer's. Jack wants nothing to do with Sawyer's kid. Claire's Aaron must be dead.

Wow, what a coincidence that she'd name her son the exact same thing.

Who the hell is "they"? The authorities? The rest of the survivors?

First of all, trying to connect what might happen in reality to the show is hopeless. Second, it's clear the survivors are in on some conspiracy. Part of that conspiracy is that Aaron is Kate's son.

It is simply mind boggling to argue anything other than Aaron is Claire's baby now being raised by Kate as her son.
