He definitely looked like Ryan Gosling.
Aside from Leticia and Tara, I still can't name any of the other girls, both still there and eliminated. I really liked Jim's partner as well, but she was eliminated too early.

Jim had to have put on all that facial hair for the show, right? I mean, even without the makeover, just shaving all that off his face was enough to make him look much, much better.

I think they should take a couple of years off and then come back with it totally reimagined.

'Geek' not very popular with CW
Season finale could be reality skein's last
By JOSEF ADALIAN
Jimmy Kimmel Live: 1,000th Episode The May 13 season finale of CW reality skein "Beauty and the Geek" will likely be the show's swan song --at least for a while.
Nothing's been confirmed yet, but people close to the production confirm that CW execs have decided to put "Geek" on ice after the current season wraps. Skein may one day be revived, but only given the passage of enough time so that the format could once again seem fresh.
CW execs also may be spurred to reconsider if producers come up with a unique twist on the nerdy-guys-interacting-with-attractive-women format. One possible idea that's been discussed is changing the format to focus on age differences.
Like just about everything on the CW this season, "Geek" has suffered serious ratings slippage during its fifth season, which began March 11.
Skein -- a production of Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst, 3 Ball and Fox 21 -- was an instant ratings winner when it premiered on the now-dead WB network in 2005. It continued to do well when it migrated to the fledgling CW a year later.
"You can never be sad about a run like this," exec producer J.D. Roth told Daily Variety.

Maybe they should switch it up and have a bunch of good looking dudes, and some real fugly looking women - and see how many of them have low enough standards to hit on them.

I didnt like the Beauty Vs Geek Concept, but beauty and the geeks never felt old to me. I like the format just the way it is.

I think a hiatus could be good for beauty and the geek. But I think the Beauty vs. geek format was a horrible idea for the show, you can blame that on this season's ratings slump.

I kind of hope Tom isn't that stupid to go out with Amber now that he won, she will only want his money.

Congrats to Tom and Amanda for the win -- I am not sure that they necessarily changed a lot as people but they did work well together as a team and they did not make a lot of enemies in the process.

Yep, this show is toast. I liked the concept but how long can you drag it out? Since it was supposed to be a social experiment that had been explored for 3 seasons, don't we all know the answer by now?
