Make me a Supermodel - I don't get it.
So I admit, I sit through and enjoy some of this type of programming, I watch project runway, some of the chef type shows, etc.
Last night, we FF'ed through this show. It was pretty useless. At least in the other shows of this genre, the participants actually are "chef's", "designers" or whatever the show is about. This show is a bunch of people who think they are good looking and "always wanted to be a model." But it seemed that none of them had ever been in front of a camara or on a runway before.
What a waste!
(but I'll proabably watch it again...curse you writers strike!)

Pretty much like America's Top Model...except with guys too. This version is a lot gritter. I'm not quite sure about it yet, but I will also continue to watch because I love the fashion shoots.

The point of America's Next Top Model is SpareTyra spends the entire "cycle" training girls on the vagueries of being a model. It isn't all fashion shoots and in-house arguing, but many of the tasks set upon the girls are supposed to be things a real supermodel has to do in her every day life.
It's a kind of 13 week training program where people are kicked out of the interview one week at a time.

Damn, anyone catch this show last night? This is def. a modeling show with an edge to it. I thought it was quite hot. And I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
