Anyone catch the awards show? How could tat not have even nominated the first season as a favorite? I was also looking for Dominick from LA season 2 but didnt see him there. They didnt give the older seasons much attention.

I think Dominick is one of those ex-Real Worlders that want absolutely nothing to do with the show.

As I recall, Dominic did one preview show on MTV after season 2 ended and then hasn't been to any of the reunions. Also, Aaron has never come back.
As for the "awards"...um ok. I guess I can't comment on how good the Austin season was because I didn't watch that one.
Still, some things like biggest bitch and the like seemed tailor made to recent cast members (and Nicole was the biggest bitch in the NY season...not Coral).
In my mind the show has never been more real since season one, and it peaked as a TV show in season 3.
While it was interesting to see congressional candidate Kevin Powell, where was Julie Oliver? Before the show turned into an outlandish parody of itself she was the quintessential cast member.

That was hilarious. Then Nathan explaining that Irene and him are still friends and she hasn't talked to Stephen since the slap was also hilarous.
Austin as the favorite season was bullshit. That was hands down the worst season.

Yeah but it wasn't really news. It was clear during the season. Also, after RW Seattle he got arrested for taking someone's car and during that arrest they found out that he was wanted for "failing to appear" on a 2001 arrest for "hustling"...

Although I saw bits and pieces of the early seasons in reruns I don't think I started watching TRW regularly until right around RW:Miami Seaons 5. Either way I agree that Austin was not the No 1 season.
I know it's early but I'm already seein' some really big Douche bags on the RW:Hollywood promos.

I didn't start watching until:

and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the best season.
They should have a marathon of the previous seasons and then let people vote for the best season.

I'm losing track of what everyone looks like after just reading the names in the past few posts from this weekend. I can't remember what Tori, Ev, Casey, Brooke, Johanna.
The Austin edition was the first RW season that I gave up on after about 14 episodes into the season. After that season, it's been hit or miss for me in terms of tuning in for all the episode. I guess Austin finally broke me of the RW habit.
