I'm not going to watch this expecting something similar to the 80's TV series. Heck, it's got a different creative team behind it and David Hasselhoff only has a cameo. If it's good and gets ordered to series, then I'll probably watch the series as well.

Blasphamy, KITT a mustang. Frak them.

kantonburg 02-17-08 08:23 PM

23 the straight minutes of CHEESE...ugh

kaikara 02-17-08 08:35 PM

I watched it for 5 minutes and they showed the cobra symbol on the car more than the actors. Also, every car on the the road was a ford or a ford own product - saw a focus, the edge, a fusion, a volvo, and a Land rover. It is amazing that this piece of shit got to air.

This whole show is Cheese.

JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL.

 Did any of you watch the old one? It's cheesy as all hell.

TheNightFlier 02-17-08 08:44 PM

I'm still waiting for the Hoff's appearance

EXACTLY! Its stars a talking car! Come on, this isn't All in the Family, or < insert critically acclaimed show here >

I like it so far. Bring on the Hoff!!

AND the Montecito! Holy Las Vegas crossover!

Well I watched it growing up. I guess I didn't find it as cheesy when I was 10.

Me either, but watching the DVDs now, the third episode or so he goes to like a traveling carnival to race in the destruction derby. That's the plot. I'm not joking.

maingon 02-17-08 09:06 PM

This show just looks visually very cheap, Like a bad Scifi Channel movie or Uwe Boll flick. Just bland looking.

RocShemp 02-17-08 09:09 PM

Yes, the old show was cheese but it was fun. So far this has been anything but fun. Just bring on the Hoff so I can change the channel. :(

Orbi-Wan Techno 02-17-08 09:10 PM

I watched the first few episodes on Netflix streaming, and so far, I think this new movie is pretty much on par with the original.

lordwow 02-17-08 09:12 PM

 "Gas is way better than those new fuels"
"Newer isn't always better" says the Stanford Scientist.

Thanks GM!

Orbi-Wan Techno 02-17-08 09:16 PM

The commercials with KITT being jealous of Michael driving the Focus have been amusing...

lordwow 02-17-08 09:55 PM

At least they brought back the "One Man Can Make A Difference" Thing.

lordwow 02-17-08 10:00 PM

Nice plane

Goldberg74 02-17-08 10:01 PM

Overall... it was quite nostalgic. I felt like I was back in the 80s.

I could tolerate this show as a series.

Hopefully we get that chance.

TheNightFlier 02-17-08 10:02 PM

Not gonna lie, I liked it.

Orbi-Wan Techno 02-17-08 10:02 PM

Okay, a boy and his Mustang on missions around the world. And the goofy looking friend as the mechanic. This could be a fun series, if it gets picked up.

Daryl 02-17-08 10:03 PM

They should have had the old KITT pull up, all banged up and dusty, one headlight not working. Door opens, some 80's rock is blasting from the car stereo, Hoff steps out wearing the "doesn't quite fit like it used to" black leather jacket he used to wear every week and sporting that kickass haircut from back in the day. I would have marked out to that.

Patman 02-17-08 10:03 PM

This is show a weird time warp at times with its cheesiness and updated technology. But I lurve the new "Bonnie" (Sarah), she's almost worth enduring the rest of the show, though the new Mike is a bit on the dopey side, but at least he's not as cheesy as the Hoff.

zuffy 02-17-08 10:03 PM

I actually like it, much better than the modern version of Bionic Woman.

lordwow 02-17-08 10:03 PM

This is the closest we've seen to an 80s TV show (sans sitcoms), other than some odd shooting/editing/CGI choices, it plays just like a cheesy 80s TV show. I love it. I'll watch it.

 They kept talking about the other car I thought they might show it. But, at the same time, according to "Canon" it was destroyed.

Ranger 02-17-08 10:06 PM

Wow, I'd never thought I'd say this, but I loved it. They actually made an effort. And it paid off.
