Without A Trace: 12/13 "Claus and Effect

Just wanted to give those who watch a heads up that there is indeed a new episode tonight:

Spoiler:

A store Santa vanishes after getting a death threat and the team suspects that the young man, a former child prodigy, may have been involved in criminal activity.

I'm always shocked that Without a Trace drops 4-6 million from its CSI lead-In. Last season, Without a Trace was indeed, a little on the dull side, but overall its a much better acted/written/entertaining program than CSI is.

I'm not bashing CSI or anything (I watch it), but now that its back on Thursday again, this season, it can't get the same numbers as CSI can.

This was a very strong episode, IMO. The sh*t that Jack was saying about Santa at the start of the show was pretty funny.

I'd been a longtime viewer of Without A Trace but went with ER (of which I'm a bigger fan) when CBS forced the choice. I did watch the Santa episode and thought it was pretty good.

Don't you have some sort of recording device? Watch one, record one?

So-so episode. They all seem to be going through the paces. This show hasn't been the same since season 3.

I'm still a fan of the show, but I think the show has changed so much in style & tone since Hank Steinberg left the show as showrunner and head writer.

I watch both as well, and I record both, because I don't watch PPTV live.

I'm a bigger fan of ER as well, but this season of ER is just plain out terrible.

I'm still in the stone age . I have a VCR but I'm making a conscious effort to limit my TV time, so no recording for me. I was really responding to nateman's comment about the viewership numbers, offering a possible explanation for what's happening during the 10pm hour.

If your trying to limit your TV time to do other things, what's the big deal about recording the episodes of WAT and saving them to watch them a month 2 months or 3 months later if your have more time. The point of recording a program is to be able to do other things.

Plus, you will be waiting ages to see these episodes on DVD since they are only on season 2 right now and WAT is not a big seller.
