In a future that no longer exists. Good riddance, I say.

Less Hiro (is is becoming annoying to me)
More Elle
Less Elles dad (forget his name)
Less Claire Bennett
Less Wes (West?)
Same amount of HRG
Less mom Bennett
Less Mohinder
Less creepy, overacting little girl who can find people
More Parkman

Plot-wise
Something less grandiose, it doesn't always have to be about destroying NY, or killing 93% of the human race
More fighting in TEAMS
Less "Company" mumbo-jumbo
No more Mohinder/Parkman "My Two Dads" storyline

General
Smarter writing. Plotholes and stupidity are killing this show.

I agree with pretty much everything you said except I just want more fighting period. The finale of season one & the Five Years episode had brief but good fighting. Seeing Peter using his powers & fighting in these scenes was great but I want more & I want longer fights.

Wasn't there a flashback ep with everyone's parents (the ones in the picture) on tap?

Average episode for an average season. I still stand by my post on page one about how to fix this show. Nothing in the finale showed me any reason to change my mind.

Sylar back? How ingenious...and boring. Immortal blood? Weak. At least, it appears, that Nikki is dead.

I'd like to respond to the theory about West shooting Nathan. Decent idea, but improbable. How would he have any knowledge of Peter, Nathan & Parkman's plans? They were thousands of miles away, not to mention he's never met any of them.

I thought it was pretty clear that it was Noah who shot Nathan, since he's back with the Company now.

Sylar: still alive and back, though may be hampered by the Star Trek movie
HRG
Elle's "dad"
Parkman's dad
Ma Patrelli

anyone else?

Clearly ANYONE could be flipped by something horrible happening (unlikely, but for instance Micah seeing his mother blown up after his father was shot?). In my opinion, the "Villians" volume could be a mini season 1 where we meet a whole smattering of new characters who end up coming together to try to destroy the world instead of saving it in the finale. Speaking of which, did we ever see Claire's real mother, the firestarter, after that episode in S1?

I don't think we've seen Claire's mom this season at all.

The interview said something like they had already introduced a cadre of villains, because when I first saw the chapter title I thought we'd be introduced to even more new characters. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I wouldn't mind seeing a Legion of Doom.
