Reaper
So have you guys dropped this series? Well I think it has been getting better and better. I laughed my butt off during the sex scene with the demon lady.
|
That gave my nightmares nightmares!
|
I like it. It's just a fun show, and the cast really seems to work together well. I really get a vibe the main guys actually are friends and hang out together, unlike on Chuck. (Which I do like as well.)
|
Sam swinging the bat at the devil was silly and funny (bonus points for not going for the devil's nards).
|
I liked this past episode more than the previous one. The Glady/Sock thing was weird and funny and Ray Wise is still awesome as the Devil.

This show has definitely improved and raising the stakes with the "Get out of Hell free" card was definitely a step in the right direction. This past episode featured Assistant Director Walter Skinner was also cool because it was a "double whammy".
Only thing is, I really find the Sock character uber annoying. Granted I even slacked up on my dislike of him in this "The Cop" episode. |
I noticed that Kevin Smith was credited as an adviser. Has he been involved from the begining?

I've given up on Chuck and Journeyman but this one is enjoyable enough to keep me watching.
|
I'm still watching and really enjoying it. That make-out scene was hilarious!
|
Reaper and Chuck are my favorite new shows. I think it's time for a Sock vs. Morgan dance-off.
|
I have not missed an episode, and the cast really seems to have gelled well together. I think the cast is perfectly cast, especially Missy, and I like that Sam is now getting more used to his job instead of whining. Sock, who I have found funny since the beginning, is perfect in his role. His reaction to the dream was hilarious.

I love Chuck and Reaper, but they need to reign in their obnoxious sidekicks. I thought that Reaper had some growing pains, but it's becoming a great show. I like that Sam gave Andy the necklace, since she knows (or at least should know) how he feels about her now. |

edit to add: the original Andi was Nikki Reed. http://images.askmen.com/women/celeb...nikki_reed.jpg Missy fits the pretty girl next door role MUCH better. the episodes have gotten much better since they moved away from Sam complaining every episode, and not opening the vessel until 45 or so minutes in. and i don't mind Sock so much. He's been reigned in, as i also feel they've done to Morgan on Chuck. |
I have caught a few episodes, I love watching Ray Wise as the Devil.
|
I really enjoy this, but I usually have to wait a few days to watch it to put some distance between it and Chuck. The shows, despite wildly different themes, are just too similar for me to watch back-to-back. They both work in big box stores, they both have a burdenous task forced on them, they were both betrayed by loved ones, they both have overbearing comic relief sidekicks, they both have a-hole superiors at work, etc. It's like the creators of the two shows used the same Mad Libs sheet and just filled in the blanks differently.

I'm enjoying it too, and it's definitely getting better as the weeks go by. I hope it survives; the ratings are pretty weak.
|
Still watching. Still enjoying it. It's not my favorite show, but it's great for some laughs.
|
Reaper is enjoyable, but I think the writing staff needs to watch a couple seasons of Buffy and Angel to learn how to balance the character stuff and the demon fighting. I also think it needs an arc episode soon where the overall plot advances in some way, instead of things like the contract showing up and never getting mentioned again.
I'll keep watching to see if it improves, but as it stands I wouldn't care too much if it got canceled. |

Melinda Clarke is going to be in the next new episode. She's playing the devil's girlfriend.
|
Reaper & Chuck are my two favorite new shows of the season. Hell, they could cancel all the other shows if they wanted, just leave me Chuck and Reaper.
|
I love the devil. I love Missy. I love Sock. I'm in love with this fun show.
I hope it returns for a second season, because I need shows that don't take themselves too seriously to keep me sane. |

she definitely has a devilish look about her. good casting.

What no love for Spanish? I think he is awesome in this role.
This is slowly growing into one of my favorite new shows this year. To bad its on at the same time as The unit and House and my weekly poker game. Makes me seek other means to watch it. |
My wife was hesitant to watch both this and 'Chuck' at the beginning of the season. Now they are the first shows that she wants to watch the minute our daughter goes to bed.
Didn't know Nikki Reed was originally cast as 'Andi' - Missy Peregrym is a much better choice. |
This was a show I was recording from the start, but never got around to watching. Glad I did though, as I found I really enjoy it. Lots of fun.
Had to laugh at the Sock/Devil lady makeout scene. |
Just really started into the show...put some episodes on my new Zune...yes Zune..lol...and enjoyed the pilot so far...gonna enjoy it I think.
|
-bump- for another great episode. Who knew the Devil had a daughter? Or not.
|
This show is awesome - which means it probably won't last long. Last night was the first episode I got to watch "live" and not off the DVR.
Loved the look that Spanish's grandmother was giving off. Even at the very end. |
Actually getting into this show now. I hope it sticks around.
|
Last night was probably the best episode so far. Very fun, and I love how quickly the devil can switch from charming to downright scary.
|
Love the show!
|
I've become a fan of Jessica Stroup (Sam's new girlfriend, the Death Dealer).
LOL when Ben and Sock were caught slow-dancing while trying to keep tabs on Sam and Cady. Devil's phone sex gag was pretty good too. |

My dvr went on the fritz and lost everything that recorded yesterday. Is Reaper going to get a repeat this week or will I have to watch it online?
|
I have no idea, but it was a fun episode. I hope everyone is still watching and enjoying.
