They should put it on FX. Then maybe it would have a shot.

Whedon = sale for me. Here's to hoping Fox doesn't fuck him over yet again.

Maybe FOX will give it a chance this time after seeing all the Firefly hype post-cancellation. Probably wishful thinking, but my fingers are crossed. I'm not so sure about Dushku's acting skills with different personalites, but I'll be there.

Let's hope that Fox is hard at work shuffling episode order and preparing multiple time slots for this new project.

I love that Joss has a new show but I am not completely sold on the concept or Dushku in the starring role.

The good thing about a series is that Joss whill have more concrete deadlines to get his work done. With his movie projects he seems to take forever just to finish a script.

Fox has only greenlighted and canceled one Joss Whedon series up to this point.

There's been a lot of management turnover at Fox. In other stories I've read about his new series, Whedon seems to really like the people who are running things now.

I love all the stuff Joss does and I enjoy most of what Eliza has done. With that said I have a feeling that with their combined powers it'll be short lived and yet run longer than it needs to. *

That's serious coverage for a show that's yet to go into production . I've been a casual viewer of most of Whedon's shows and this premise sounds very promising, so I'll tune in.

I don't think he "takes forever" to finish a script. It took him little over a year to write the Wonder Woman script, but that included the time he spent researching the character before writing. Goners has had several finished scripts, just none that Universal is happy with. It was nine months between when Serenity was announced as going to be written and the film was greenlit, which is a relatively short development period.

Seeing as it's Whedon and Dushku, I wish they just went ahead and made Faith the Vampire Slayer...oh well.

EDIT: And is it just me or is Dollhouse one of the worst titles you've ever heard?

In fairness, it's not as though any of Joss's titles has been a major draw to his shows. Buffy the Vampire Slayer's title kept me away from the show until after halfway into its run. The same goes with Angel (but I got in a little earlier in its run). If I hadn't been a convert by then, the title Firefly would have been zero draw to me.

It seems like Whedon kinda wants to shy away from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as late. He wants to create something else and be known for something else, which I cannot entirely blame him for. I just wish we fans could get an appropriate ending via television, dvd, or theaters - and not just comic books.

If this show ever gets into production, then I will definitely try it. Eliza Dushku is way too attractive for me to pass watching on TV. I really miss Tru Calling.

How about "Echo and the Dollhouse"?

Once I knew what it was, Angel was an awesome name for the show. Reading a synopsis about it being a show involving a male vampire, it just made me mock the show. I remember making a ton of jokes at its expense.
