yes, she looked like Pam; no, Ryan's expression didn't change. He just stared for a little longer than you would expect. Plus, he was probably trying to figure out who "Eddie Murphy" was...

My favorite parts was Dwigt's second reality where he flies, and the line in the commercial "...and bad news" with the paper "You have a son, and it's me". Golden. I agree, this episode got back to the show's heart. Gotta love Michael Scott.

Wow, what a terrible idea.

Let me be a network executive. I'll pick 40 pilots at random, and just throw them on the air with little regard to quality of premise. If I get lucky, and a show manages to somehow be good, and garner some ratings, I will then run it into the ground with spinoffs, tie-ins, "bonus" episodes and anything else I can do to kill the golden goose.
Seriously can't DVDTalk members band together and buy a channel or something and put our own programming together?

If this happened, people would get to start threads bitching about a show that they made on their own.

doesn't sound like they are going to take from any of the series regulars. I am not sure if a spin-off like that can work unless they can get a relatively big name comedy star.

Unless maybe they get Ricky Gervais.

The pity is that based on the listed premise for this week's episode, they may have missed out on a golden opportunity to set up that spin off with a backdoor pilot of sorts.
Maybe they'll take the Ryan character and offload him onto the new show while keeping BJ as a writer for The Office. That might be a bit challenging for him, but they could make him a bit player on the other show after the first couple of episodes.

So, if Andy and Angela end up together, will their relationship combination name be Angela or Andy? (Brangelina/Bennifer)
