I'm disappointed by two things:
1) The Woodland Critters didn't get to meet their creator.
2) Kurt Russel didn't try to get out of the mission by telling the general, "Go find MacGyver. He has more experience with this stuff than I do."

From the first thread:
And on another note, we have closed captioning turned on for my nearly-deaf grandma. When the terrorists speak, the captions say, "(Speaking Ter-erish)" (And in the movie, during the T&P movie, it says, "(Rhythmic farting)")

Funny episode.
I liked seeing Mario with the good characters in last week's episode.
And Wario with the evil characters in tonights episode.

Great episode! I found myself laughing at the very end when Cartman rises up and says "Wake Up Kyle". Pretty sure it was a spoof on the Burger King commercials.

I was thinking the same thing. Russell only did the one movie, but RDA was on the show for like ten years.Originally Posted by Sean O'Hara

The Critters raped Stuntman Mike!
And we have a three-parter. I wouldn't have minded if they stretched this story out for the entire 8 episode run.

The Woodland Freaking Critters...so good to see them again.
Loved The Abyss shoutout...they nailed it when Cartman started to slap Kyle.
ManBearPig...Al Gore was right.
I wonder if Butters will run into Professor Chaos in Imaginationland.

Yikes, this was the worst episode they've had in years. Sorry, I don't find simply flashing recognizable characters on the screen funny (which is why I've never liked Family Guy). This episode makes it seem like they just didn't have enough material to fill three episodes.. which goes back to last season, where both two-parters (Cartoon Wars, Go God God) felt like they had about one and half episodes worth of material and had to painfully stretch them out to fill two.
I did get a kick out of seeing a "real" ManBearPig, though.

I hope they really have a part three and not anothing Terrance and Phillip gag like the whole Cartman's Mom's a Whore fiasco.

Damn this was a good episode. Cant wait till part 3 next week. Will Kyle finally have to suck Cartman's balls?
Also i saw this in the press release for last night's episode:
" IMAGINATIONS ARE RUNNING WILD IN AN ALL-NEW "SOUTH PARK" WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24 AT 10:00 P.M.* ON COMEDY CENTRAL
"Imaginationland" (Part I) Was The Most Watched Program In All Of Television Among Men 18-24 And 18-34 And Ranked #1 In Cable Among Persons 18-49
Stan and Kyle are being held in the bowels of the Pentagon until they tell the government how they got into Imaginationland in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "Imaginationland: Episode II," premiering on Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central. Last week's episode, "Imaginationland" drew over 3.4 million total viewers and was the most watched program in all of television for Wednesday night among Men 18-24 and 18-34 and ranked #1 in cable among Persons 18-49. "
So i guess it's doin pretty dang well. MAybe we'll get more two/three parters. Or best case another movie possibly espescially after the success of the simpsons. I can dream i guess.

Jason Voorhees being gay amused me for some reason.
"Spotting the characters" isn't the draw for me. It's part of it, but the story is interesting too. And the jokes stem from the story.

So Jesus is there because he is imaginary... but he has lived in South Park since the beginning. God is nowhere to be seen, so he must be real. Satan is nowhere to be seen so he must be real as well.
Great episode. I'm definately enjoying this "trilogy" but I too think they'll interrupt it for a Halloween episode next week. Or maybe they'll have a post-halloween episode with whatever aftermath has occurred on halloween.

I loved this episode! Anyone else notice that in the beginning of the episode Cartman says "Last week on Battlestar Galactica"? That part had me laughing for some reason

Spotting the characters is a bonus. This is what Robot Chicken would be if written by people with talent for more than random disconnected jokes -- you get great images like Cylons and Stormtroopers attacking Butters, and Woodland Critter jokes, and Cartman's balls. (I'm thinking at the end Cartman will drop his pants and everyone will laugh at how small he is.)I'm not with the rest of you guys (except PixyJunket).
