Moonlight was #1 in the 9PM slot last night (beating FNL) and #4 overall. Looks like this should be able to stick around for a bit.

Ranger 12-15-07 01:05 PM

Anyone still watching the show? Last night's episode was pretty good. It's my favorite new show - I like the cliffhangers and all the characters.

Two more episodes left (Jan 4 & Jan 11) AFAIK, but it should be renewed.

DJariya 12-15-07 01:10 PM

I really like this show. O'Loughlin and Myles are the highlight for me. They have great chemistry and I think he's done a solid job in his 1st lead role. I also think the story telling has been quite compelling about Mick and his background.

The ratings are still way off compared to what Close to Home did last season, but I hope it's enough for a 2nd season.

Giantrobo 12-15-07 01:28 PM

I missed last night's ep but I'm starting to like this show.

Mysteryfan 12-15-07 05:25 PM

Count me in as a fan.

Gizmo 12-15-07 05:31 PM

Excellent episode last night. I hope this gets renewed for a second season.

DJariya 12-17-07 12:45 AM

Excellent episode! I can already feel the sexual tension growing between Mick and Beth. It's a huge bummer that CBS hasn't green lighted a full season (even though that's meaningless at this point) Hopefully CBS green lights a 2nd season if their pilot season gets shot to hell.

marty888 12-17-07 08:15 AM

I've been watching this since its first episode, and it has held my attention throughout. It's one of the few of this season's new shows that I'd be very sad to see disappear.

Xander 12-17-07 01:04 PM

No for me. Took it off the Tivo and deleted the last 3 episodes without watching them. I like the premise, but I find myself really bored while watching it and also having to force myself to sit down and watch the show instead of looking forward to it.

IDrinkMolson 12-17-07 01:23 PM

I've been in from the beginning. I'll continue watching while they're on.

kurupt 12-17-07 01:42 PM

I've been watching since the first episode. I like it, but don't love it. It definitely has room to grow and it has the storylines, cast, and plenty of potential. Hopefully, CBS will stick with it.

PhantomStranger 12-17-07 05:19 PM

I'm not sure what they are going to do once they get the two leads together. The show doesn't have much going for it other than that. I'm sure they pitched this to CBS as "Angel if done as a crime procedural drama". But Moonlight has a very small supporting cast which doesn't really help the show. Mick needs other friends beside the one vamp.

Baron Of Hell 02-09-08 08:37 PM

Do you have to watch this show in order? I just noticed the last episode has Jack the Ripper in it so want to watch that since I like seeing Jack pop up in shows. Last time I saw Jack he was on Babylon 5 testing people.

Note I only watched the first two episodes.

DJariya 02-09-08 11:15 PM

There are some serialized elements, especially in the last few episodes that deal with Mick's Ex-Wife. But for the most part each episode is stand alone.

Moonlight Blood Drive

Fans of the CBS vampire detective television series Moonlight have organized a national blood drive to show their support and to celebrate the return of new episodes beginning Friday April 25th. The freshman series has amassed a huge fan base and a cult-like following, as evidenced by winning the “Favorite New TV Drama” on The Peoples Choice Awards, and the show consistently won it’s time period. .... The National Red Cross has taken an active roll in the blood drive and is acting as a liaison with all of the local Red Cross chapters nationwide. ... The Official Moonlight Blood Drive will be held at various locations nationwide April 18th through April 27th.
Interesting idea. I have to admit that this is one of the more creative ideas for saving a show that I've read about. Link to complete article and the save Moonlight website.

According to a few sources Season 2 is pretty much a go at this point. CBS brought the show back for 4 episodes after the strike so its a good sign they will continue with Season 2.

Amazing...such a blatant (and poorly done) rip-off of Angel.

Cool  As mentioned in my other posts in this thread this show grew on me.

Ranger 04-05-08 10:35 AM

Yeah, it'll be back on April 25.

...and its pretty damn good, this coming from a huge Buffy and Angel fan. Every heard of the show Forever Night?

Ranger 04-25-08 11:06 AM

Bump for new episode today.

Peep 04-25-08 04:14 PM

One of the big-wigs at the network is a huge fan of this show and has been tickering with it a bunch to keep it running.

DJariya 04-25-08 05:17 PM

Joel Silver is going to be the showrunner for these 4 episodes. I believe he is listed as the Executive Producer of the show, but didn't handle the day to day production of it until now. I am extremely confident that these 4 episodes will be solid and we'll be seeing another season in the fall. Silver's produced so many big budget movies, that TV should be nothing for him.

Giantrobo 04-26-08 10:33 AM

I was only able to see bits and pieces of the ep abut what bits I saw were decent. I'm glad things went back to "normal" for our hero and I'm glad he got some tongue from Beth. :)

Ranger 04-26-08 11:28 AM

It was a decent episode but I didn't like how quickly he went back to the "dark side." Kind of a missed opportunity. I worry about the relationship thing, I'm getting a "Clana" vibe from it, which isn't a good thing. We need Mick to hang out more often with his cool friends.
