Wow, the best episode of the season. And Greg finally gets his gold star!

I loved the election theme of this week. I agreed with all of the voting except for Anjay. I think there should have been a change in his district.

And Taylor is a person who thinks only good things are going to happen to her, regardless of how she acts and treats other people. She is a bonified movie star in the making!

But looking at next week previews there is going to be trouble in Bonanza.

I've really grown to like this show. The format wasn't what I expected or wanted, but the personalities of these kids makes up for it. They have so many of the characteristics of their adult counterparts, but the refreshing thing is, they still have the hopes and dreams that only a kid can have.

I'm hoping that CBS brings this back next year!

Great episode. From the previews, next week looks awesome as well. I thought that the elections went exactly as they should - Mike and Taylor were clearly the worst council members. Anjay is a bit ineffectual to be in a position of authority, but Olivia is a nut, so he was the better choice.

I agree that this show is much stronger now than it was during the first week or two. If people have already tuned out, they should give it another shot.

Next week does look awesome. One question about the preview:

Spoiler:
Can the council member of a district not pay a member of his/her team?

I am glad that Taylor is off the council and that Zach is in charge now. Unsure how I feel about Guylan. I have a feeling that at the end of the season, everyone is going to get a bonus if they don't leave Bonanza City and the council members will get a bigger bonus.

I love this show now...I don't know how it happened, but I do. I was thrilled to see that bitch Olivia lose the election...I'm not an Anjay fan but she was so smug it made me mad (and she conned them into giving her sister 20g's for her b-day a few weeks ago).

I have no idea where Guylan came from...this kid has been a non-presence the entire show until last night... I loved seeing Mike get crushed (with only his own vote for himself) but also felt a bit bad...that kid does a lot of crying/almost crying... and Taylor got put in her place... I loved seeing her 'Judas' patting her on the back after stabbing her there - nice!

Oh, and how the heck again did the boys on the council cave to the girls over the reward... a few weeks back the guys wanted food, girls wanted the religious books, they went with books even though what we saw was a 2/2 split...last night, same thing, guys wanted food reward, girls wanted toothbrushes and somehow a 2/2 split meant the girls decision stood... LAME...also, when you have baking soda to brush with your finger, floss paste and brush are not needed...should have gone for the BBQ!

When I saw Guylan last night I said to myself, when we he planted into the show? I don't even remember seeing him in the background. But he was smart. He felt that he could be a good leader and he kept quiet until right before the elections and it worked for him.

My favorite part was right after Zach gave his candidate speech and Taylor says to the camera "that was a pretty good speech, but it's not the best I've heard"

She is so full of herself and that's what makes it so fun watching her. Even after her getting beat down the last couple of weeks and crying about it, she comes back as oblivious as ever. And next weeks episode seems to be no different!

Chris

I'm surprised how much I enjoy this show now.

When all that bad publicity started popping up right before it premiered, I feared the worst, but I gotta admit - this show's grown on me.

Anyone else feel the same?

Guylan was in the news a few weeks ago for an interview he gave saying that he admired and looked up to Fidel Castro as a world leader.

I like that from the previews, it seems Zach is smart enough to not pay his district for not working. This should motivate them to work, since Taylor pretty much conditioned them not to work. I am a little concerned with what looked like Taylor hitting Anjay repeatedly in the previews, since that sort of hitting is enough to remove people from other reality shows. It should be very interesting.

Anjay seems to have problem with girls in general. I'm not saying that Taylor isn't in the wrong, but I could see how he just tuned out Olivia when he was frustrated with her.

I would really like them to interview Taylors parents. You know what they say 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree'. I'm sure most of her 'spoiled brat' characteristics are because of her upbringing. She must come from a well to do family.

So the lesson of this week's episode is that destruction of property is the correct solution to a difference of opinion. Does the town have a jail? Now THAT would bring controversy to the show. I would've preferred to see the kids make posters calling for Taylor to be impeached.

If the producers weren't feeding everything to these kids maybe we could have had Zach and Che Guylan staging a coup.

I mentioned the same thing to my husband. I don't like the saloon thing at all. "drowning their sorrows" What wise ass thought to add that to a KIDS show?

And I'm not even as worried about the 40, well 38, kids on the show, it's the millions of young kids who are watching this religiously each week and having the notion embedded in their minds that it's okay to 'binge' (regardless of the drink).

DK for President!

And no, I don't want Taylor to go home. There always has to be an antagonist in every story. But the town council should have the power to actually punish her. Maybe start a jail, where she would have to spend her nights alone.

I actually appreciate what Taylor is doing here, albeit unintentional. She exposes how big a fraud the Bonanza City government is. She doesn't have to pay for food or shelter, and it's not a freaking gulag, so there's nothing that can compel her to work. Even if the town had laws and a justice system, she's not doing anything illegal. They're claiming they want to be a free society, so they need to deal with the fact that people aren't going to work if there's no reason to.

The most that they can do is not pay her. If she decides at some point that she enjoys spending money on candy and root beer, then she'll either work or find some other way to get money. Once all the other sticks in the mud like Sophia and Zach learn that and stop throwing diva fits, DK will be a hell of a lot happier.

Of course, if Taylor decided to forgo her wage and others witnessed how it didn't really alter her lifestyle in any significant way, the town would be forced to become a real society in order to survive

I smiled a little bit when Taylor called out to Zach and then proceeded to dump the water.

I think Jared is an actual living, breathing Hipster Doofus.

The only problem is I see this show ending up like Real World or Big Brother. The first season people just acted like themselves and did whatever. The following seasons everyone acted out to get camera time and attention. Hell, Taylor will probably get a movie deal out of this.
