its got to be scripted. my girlfriend was saying that Mystery just seems like another LA douchebag and the girls that fall for his lines have to be retarded.

Women in bars love cocky assholes I think, but then again you will never find a good woman in a bar...

the one "teacher" with the streaks in his hair - Girls probably talked to him because they thought he was gay. Just all the comments about shopping, hair, etc. he wasn't picking up women.

Mystery is very well known in the "Seduction" industry, he's featured in the bestseller "The Game" by Neil Strauss. While they may come off as douchebags, their techniques seem to work on the beautiful but vacuous club women, at least as far as getting one night stands. It'll be interesting to see the transformation of the students from wimps to pimps though.

i've been watching this all the way through... Can't believe I'm saying this, but Mystery actually comes off as less of a douchebag as the episodes progress. They really stress that it's not just about picking up women - it's about changing your outlook on life.

Glad Fat Joe is gone. If i had to hear that "hey, did you see those two girls fighting over a guy named george?" line one more time, I might have broken my TV.

Yeah it was sad to hear him use it in the park setting. That line only really works in a club setting. I don't really think either of these guys left are actually pickup masters. Funny how the final two are the best looking ones... This show hasn't really proven anything. He didn't turn nerds into guys that could pick up women on a regular basis.

Also Kosmo and Brady are fakes:

Brady- http://www.actionagencyla.com/bradysprunger.htm

brady's definitely filled out a little from that picture! Guy's got a gut now.

yeah, i agree. neither one has shown that they're pickup masters. I want to see more of Mystery, Matador, and J-Dog in the field. We only saw it in one episode, and that was that. I like to see them work their magic on a stripper...

Way back when I was kindergarden there was this ugly kid with bad teeth, crooked eye who wore glasses and the cute girls talked to him. When we sat in a circle when the teacher would read to us all the pretty girls sat by him.
He was the toughest kid in class and talked a good talk.
So even then girls talk to the guy who talks a good game and it doesn't mater what you look like.

Funny that someone brings this thread from the dead. Yesterday I was talking to a friend who was interested in reading "The Game" by Neil Strauss. He has a few friends who have read it and they say that it has changed thier social lives. I imagine the kind of girls that you pick up using the Mystery Method aren't future wives but when you're my age (22) it seems to be a great way to have some fun.

It seems like the main thing you have to do is just get that initial fear of talking to a complete stranger out of the way. I think most if they can get that out of them could pull a decent number of girls...But that is a hard fear to overcome. Atleast for me it was, still is to an extent...

With the way that guy dresses and looks, Mystery doesn't have much "game."

Mystery's stuff works, but most of his game is 1010101010 where 1 is a compliment and 0 is an insult. He doesn't outright insult the girls, but they are like veiled insults. For instance, you are a beautiful girl, just not my type. When you approach a beautiful girl they already have it in their head they are the shit and unless you are super hot you have to do something to shock her. To a beautiful woman telling her she is not your type comes as a shock, because she is rarely told that. Then that opens her curiousity as to why. His other stuff he does really well is body language. He can read it and give it out great. He puts all of this together in a really smooth package. He is really about lowering the girls value and raising yours to her. He probably had to practice alot when he first started... There are alot of videos of him out in the field doing what he does:

That 2nd one, the woman was really defensive and being a bitch...

He gets criticized a lot for the way he looks but that's exactly what he wants. He wants to stand out at a bar/club. He doesn't want to look like the average joe.

By doing this, he has already gotten the girls' attention and easier for him to approach.

Quoted for truth. We have the last three eps on the DVR and I just can't bring myself to watch him again. Glad to hear he gets better as time goes on, but dang, what a poser.

That girl is acting the way I imagine most women would act if a weirdo like Mystery tried to hit on them. My wife said she would laugh in a guy's face if he tried to go into some stupid routine like he does.

Who IS this guy mystery? Am I supposed to have known who he was before the show?

And is it comfirmed that the people in the final 2 are indeed actors?

I'm sure many of us have seen jerks always getting the pretty girls.
