Reality/talent are the same. And who are we kidding, none of them really require much talent anyway.

"Reality" shows with trainwreck celebrities. I cannot imagine the entertainment value in watching some nitwit who fried his or her brain on drugs stumble around.

Snarky political shows hosted by a previously c-list comedian.

I like talent competitions even less than reality shows.

I guess it would be talent competitions for me. I actually like some of VH1's Celebreality, and I think it is trashy fun. I also like the Real World, Laguna Beach, and even watched Maui Fever.

Easiest poll I've done in a while. Reality by a mile.

I think I like every genre. I usually say I hate Reality/Game Shows but I am guilty of watching Hell's Kitchen, Survivor & The Amazing Race. I still think American Idol is the single worst TV show to ever hit television.

The current melodrama's suck big time currently. Grey's Anatomy is truly awful, Brothers & Sisters is a bore & The OC... No comment. ER hasn't been outstanding since Anthony Edwards left so...

The "Comedy" genre is still strong with NBCs "Comedy night done right". Scrubs is the best comedy in years & Earl & 30 Rock are very high quality comedies. The "Sitcom" Audience/Laugh Track comedy is dead. The last good sitcom was The King of Queens. New/Christine is alright but nothing special & How I met your mother isn't my comedy.

Crime/Serial Dramas are good & CBS has most of em'. The Law & Order franchise is dying in quality in my opinion & CBS pretty much is the "Crime Broadcast System".

... Basically I watch some shows from every Television Genre with the exeption of the Sci-Fi genre, which is just way to cheesy for my tastes. For Sci-Fi I pretty much keep that Genre for movies. I guess Lost could be considered Sci-Fi, because it's suck a "Mind-Fuck".

My least favorite are the pseudo-documentary reality shows with no competitive element, that just follow people around with cameras. Stuff like Hey Paula, the Real Housewives of Orange County, Osbournes, Anna Nicole Show, Dog the Bounty Hunter, King of Cars, Real World, etc. There are a few I like, but generally this genre doesn't interest me one bit. Either they are blatantly staged or they are as dull as watching paint dry.

Dog doesn't really fit in with your list. At least he contributes to society and accomplishes things on his show, unlike the rest.

hmmmm, somebody hates one-man angry punditry, but enjoys a satire of that genre. It's an outrage!

The reality shows are unpleasant to watch, but the thing that makes me flip the channel every time is an entertainment news show with updates on Anna Nicole Smith.

Science Fiction. It's too easy to write when you have no boundaries.

Is there any doubt reality was going to win the poll?

Alot of updates on her after she's dead, eh?

"This just in on Access Hollywood...the worms have finally devoured Anna's eyes and are starting to wiggle out of her nose canal."

I would have gone with cop shows, but that was lumped in with doctor shows, which I like. Therefore, I went with Reality.

I voted "all of the above" because, although I watch a lot of TV, what I watch comprises almost exclusively daytime court shows, newscasts, documentaries, newsmagazines, and true crime shows (of which there are really no good ones left).

Of current sitcoms, I only watch "The Office" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm", of which the latter is not technically a sitcom, and the former has no irritating laugh track. "Family Ties" is the only laugh-track sitcom I have ever been able to stomach.

Procedurals and Serials: I don't watch them.
Science Fiction: I loathe the genre.
Reality and Talent: Ditto, but I must confess to finding "Hell's Kitchen" a guilty pleasure.
Animated and Melodramas: I don't watch any of these.

All very good choices, although I do find myself watch O'Reilly Factor frequently in the summer because it is always good for a few laughs.

This was no contest for me. Don't like the sitcoms.

Favs are sci-fi, serials and... omg... reality! Survivor and Amazing Race are at the top of the reality genre. Enjoying Hell's Kitchen now, but Big Brother sucks this season...

I like some talent shows like Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, but don't care much for Idol.

For me it's sitcoms, since many of them seem to revolve around making men looking like spineless blubbering idiots who's balls are carried around in the purse of their wife/girlfriend.
