I don't mind Carey at all, so I'll give him a chance.
When does the new season start?

I think Zach Galifiankis or Patton Oswalt would be good, but I don't think they'd do it.. and I don't wish that on them. If they put a host in that would make fun of the idiots who overbid on the showcase showdown, it would be great. But I'm sure they wanted a long term contract, and Drew Carey seems like he's good for this. He's already had a hit show, and after a few weeks I'm sure he'll find a groove.
Oh, and stop giving away lawn furniture and stoves.

I'd rather they went with someone who's going to be in it more long-term than Drew. Not that I know he won't last long, but I just get the feeling that he's going to go a few years and quit.
They just don't make them like Bob Barker anymore. Who else could hit on women half his age, and never come across as creepy?

I love Drew and I think it's funny that Drew and Craig Ferguson(played Drew's boss) have taken over shows on CBS.

What else is a no talent hack to do? Can't stand him myself, obviously
, but since I don't watch the show myself anymore it doesn't really matter to me. It just seemed like an odd choice IMHO... on the positive side though maybe Drew will stick to this for 35 years as well and then we don't have to see him in anything else. Actually this could turn out to be a good thing

Drew is a great choice
Drew Carey is underrated in my opinion & it's nice to finally see him getting his "Big Chance" that he deserves. I loved The Drew Carey Show, & althrough it wasn't the greatest sitcom in the history of television or anything it was a pretty damn solid one & was funny on a pretty consistent basis. It's not easy to find a replacement for a "Legend" like Bob Barker.
I know he would never have accepted but I think Kelsey Grammer would have been a good choice as well. Very likeable (If not more so) than Carey. Houw about Garry Shandling? he isn't doing fuck all anymore. Of course he was asked if he wanted to do his own real talk show & he declined so I doubt he would do this if he was asked. Plus he would come off creepy to some.
How about Michael Richards?
Talk about fun!!!

Plus it's got a HUGE college fan base..IF you watched the show, you would see that half the contestants are college age kids.
So ya, I care.

I would have liked Gordon Ramsey here...
"Awww, come on! This is embarassing! You're guessing three hundred dollars for that crap? Get your head out of your ass you ****in' wanker!"

Which is why I love to watch the game show to see other people get stuck with that crap (assuming they can pay the taxes on it), but it's the last game show I want to be on.
Of course, the game shows I hate to watch are the ones I would love to be on the most (such as Deal or No Deal...You'd have to be a MORAN to not walk away from there with a comfortable size of change.)
