Anyways, regarding Tuesday… HOLY NCIS! Impressive numbers for NCIS (16.26m) & the #2 show overall on Tuesday, Excellent! It was only just a hint over a million more people watching House (in a different timeslot) on Tuesday. I think those numbers will definitely change (sadly) when American Idol returns though. Cane is down from its *Series Premiere* & I really hope those numbers don’t get any lower, cause it’s on CBS & they’re very, very picky. I think the show has some potential & although it is full of cliché’s, its enjoyable. |

This is something I won't do every day, but will try to cover the more interesting nights (Wednesday, Thursday primarily IMO).
CHANGES FROM LAST WEEK (BASED ON FAST NATIONALS): 1. “Deal or No Deal” (NBC) +24.52% 2. “Kitchen Nightmares” (FOX) +16.27% 3. “Criminal Minds” (CBS) +14.45% 4. “Gossip Girl” (CW) +9.80% 5. “CSI: NY” (CBS) +0.16% 5. “Til Death” (FOX) +0.16% 7. “Kid Nation” (CBS) -1.31% 8. “Dirty Sexy Money” (ABC) -6.62% 9. “America’s Next Top Model” (CW) -6.80% 10. “Back to You” (FOX) -12.73% 11. “Life” (NBC) -13.30% 12. “Private Practice” (ABC) -13.69% 13. “Bionic Woman” (NBC) -19.50% |
Very Good for Kid Nation. only 1.31% loss not bad.
Pretty good for dirty sexy money, only losing 6 percent on series premiere. Thats pretty bad for Bionic Woman, but it started pretty big. Kitchen Nitemares Very impressive. |
Good numbers of "Dirty Sexy Money" I'm happy that it seems like it might survive. I'm also pretty impressed with "Private Practice's" numbers the second week. While "Bionic Woman" went down and is now second place, those numbers are definatelly pretty good by NBC standards.
Glad to see "Gossip Girl" improving. Last night was definately the best episode of the series, and now that all the characters are established hopefully the show will continue to build its momentum. |
Good to see Criminal Mind back in the top spot at 9pm.
Private Practice and Bionic Woman have some really solid 18-49 numbers, despite the drop in overall viewershup and that should probably guarantee them full seasons very soon. Kitchen Nightmares has been pretty consistent. Maybe if FOX orders a 2nd season, they can have Gordon be the narrator instead. |
I think CM was #1 due to it being advertised as Mandy's last show, even though he was only it for about 2-3 minutes. IIRC (and I don't have my files for last season on this computer), Criminal Minds averaged around 13m, and I think it'll be on course for that this season as well. Will have to see what kind of a bump it gets when Montegna comes aboard.

 It’s about time those Motherfu*king Nielsen Families got on board with a TV show that’s actually ‘fresh & original’. Very pleased to see that Pushing Daisies took down, Deal or No Deal, Kid Nation, Back to You & ‘Til Death. It’s definitely my, favorite *NEW* show of the season.
All of my shows (Pushing Daisies, Criminal Minds, CSI: NY) last night did good in the ratings with the exception of Kitchen Nightmares, which has been getting consistent ratings, but low ones nonetheless. Life’s ratings down some more & it’s indeed going the way of Raines. |

Big Shots dropped quite a bit.

It may not seem like it, but that is a pretty good boost for 30 Rock .
|
If the CW would have done a better job of promoting Supernatural it could have done much better with its ratings.

I doubt it. I haven’t seen the episode yet (falling behind, too many shows!) but I better the rating will be back too around the 5 million mark again next week. A couple of thousand people might stay tuned but that’s about it. Another Boost might’ve been because of the DVD & some new people tried it out & liked it. It basically got the same numbers as My Name is Earl, but slipped just a hint. I love My Name is Earl but 30 Rock is a much better show & I really wish the 3 NBC ‘Comedy Night Done Right’ comedies would get CSI style ratings. But that would be living in a perfect world, which we don’t live in. I’m pleased that CSI is defeating Grey’s Anatomy thus far into the 07-08’ PTTV season. I don’t watch Grey’s but I’ve heard the last season was pretty terrible & only 3 seasons in, it’s gone the way of ER. Speaking of ER, ratings are down even more but at least Big Shots didn’t overtake it. Without a Trace’s numbers down from last week, which is a little sad because I thought the episode was actually a ‘return to form’ of sorts for the show & it wasn’t dull like the previous season was. Survivor: China’s ratings didn’t really change much but like I said, in a perfect world Earl & 30 Rock would be the #1 show’s in that timeslot & S:C, would take second & Ugly Betty would be in last. |
Just wanted to post a thank you to TheMovieman for continuing to update us with fresh Nielson results.
This has become my favorite continuing thread on the forum and it's the first thing I look for when I log on. Keep up the good work kind sir! |
Agree, it's fantastic that you take the time to post all those figures. Huge kudos to you.
Now that I look at the numbers week to week, in actuality the overall viewership really doesn't mean that much. It seems like the networks only really care about the 18-49 numbers whether a show survives or not. |
Ouch for Big Shots. That's unfortunate. Although it isn't too bad in the important demo and it's pretty much matching E.R. overall and in 18-49, so maybe there is hope.
Good to see Dirty Sexy Money hold pretty well. |
Curious to see what Moonlight did last night.
