Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Apparently Mr. & Mrs. Smith pilot was passed on by ABC. Producers are trying to shop the project out. As much as I love the movie I think this was the right move by ABC. I don't know why anybody would think this would make for good television!

The Hollywood Reporter says that Regency TV's adaptation of the hit feature Mr. & Mrs. Smith is on the market.
The big-budget drama pilot was produced for ABC this development season. The network ended up passing on the project, but as part of Regency's deal with ABC, the production company was granted an early release.
Regency and producing partner Dutch Oven are expected to begin shopping "Smith" to other networks as early as next week. All original auspices on the project -- the film's Simon Kinberg and Doug Liman as well as stars Jordana Brewster and Martin Henderson -- remain on board, according to the trade.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie starred in the Liman-directed hit film.

BTW - you are correct (From Wikipedia - a prank in which one farts in bed and pulls the bedclothes over one's bed-mate's head).

Well who would have thought? We just had a Mr. & Mrs. Smith(Scott Bakula and Maria Bello)* tv show fail within the last 10 years already.
*I would totally buy that show on DVD.

I'd watch a well-written show about a couple that moonlights as assassins for different organizations, but I have a feeling anything on network TV would be too toned down for my tastes.

I really liked the movie but the TV series doesn't sound that good and if it was going to be on ABC there would just be 90 promo's on how "Sexy" the show is.
