House *Season Finale* - "Human Error" - 5/29/07

"Human Error"
Spoiler:
A Cuban couple, Esteban and his sick wife, Marina Hernandez, are pulled from the ocean during a dangerous rescue at sea while on route to the U.S. on a mission to reach Dr. House. Marina's medical records from Cuba were lost in the shipwreck, so the team runs a series of tests to determine the extent of her illness. When Marina's heart stops during a routine cardiac catheterization, the diagnostic mystery deepens. House debates with the team whether it was human error or a still-to-be-determined illness that caused Marina to flat-line, and the team fights to keep Marina alive on a bypass machine long enough for her husband to say goodbye, knowing that nothing short of a miracle can save her. Meanwhile, Foreman prepares for his last day of work at Princeton-Plainsboro, and Chase accuses House of trying to win Foreman over in order to dissuade him from leaving, prompting House to make a very rash decision that affects the whole team

NORML54601 05-29-07 04:47 PM

Wow, that's a pretty detailed spoiler

CPA-ESQ. 05-29-07 04:49 PM

I thought house was over weeks ago? Thanks for the reminder

wergo 05-29-07 09:02 PM

Can someone REALLY just take a brand-new guitar out of the case and start playing it like that? Doesn't it need to be tuned first?

RichC2 05-29-07 09:04 PM

Wasn't a particularly strong finale, kind of all over the place. And you can, but it won't sound right.

skatefan20 05-29-07 09:06 PM

"Don't make me slap you!" rotfl

Thought it was a okay season finale to an excellent season (minus the David Morse shit), with the team in disarray as a mini-cliffhanger.

Snowmaker 05-29-07 09:07 PM

I would have no problem with a whole new team next year, as long and one is a cute chick with a nice ass and one is black. I'm kind of worn out on Chase, Cameron and Foreman, but the eye candy and House racial jokes are a must. :)

argh923 05-29-07 10:08 PM

Three years of character development down the drain. Ugh.

lol, do you really think the season premiere won't end with all 3 of them working for House again?

None of the storylines stick. Foreman's disease? Joke about it for 2 episodes then he's fine again. Tritter? Vogel? No mention of them again, everything's back to normal.

It's the way House is.

MrX 05-29-07 11:08 PM

I liked the scene with House calling Cameron easy and then the slow pan to her over at the table:lol:

Other than that an OK finale.

Patman 05-29-07 11:33 PM

I knew Cameron would follow Chase wherever he'd go, so in effect with House cleaning house, I think he becomes a constant in the face of change that's self-inflicted, and inevitable as the gang completed their apprenticeships under House. House was dead on about Foreman playing the martyr in his extended goodbye tour. House let Chase go after Chase finally showed a backbone and stood up to House instead of being the one to placate House and kiss his butt, i.e. House pushed Chase out of the nest because he thought Chase was finally ready to fly on his own. Cameron just wants everyday to be Tuesday, so she choose Chase over House.

kvrdave 05-30-07 12:44 AM

I am really hoping that they take the opportunity to get a whole new team. It would make the series cheaper based on salaries, I assume, and I think it could breathe some great life into the show. I won't complain if they are all back either, but I would be fine with them being gone.

Charlie Goose 05-30-07 02:15 AM

Next season I'm hoping for a Hispanic girl, a gay Irish guy with red hair, and a chimp.

boredsilly 05-30-07 05:44 AM

Yeah, if they get the right people, I'm up for a new cast of characters as well. But really, what are the chances of that happening?

They should snag 3 people from 3 different cancelled FOX shows.

Chyler Leigh or Elisha Dushku for the female role would be good. :D

Patman 05-30-07 07:22 AM

Chyler Leigh landed on "Grey's Anatomy".

TheBigDave 05-30-07 07:37 AM

Maybe they can get those kids from The O.C.

How do you figure? Do you honestly think that those cast members because they 'resigned' or 'quit' are no longer on the show?

RichC2 05-30-07 09:38 AM

I'm waiting for the spin-off Foreman, where we follow him onto his new job, learning how to be the person he wants to be, and inventing a grill.

I was thinking something similar (though not exact) with Catalina Sandino Moreno, Conan O'Brien, and the cast of Good Burger

I must have missed the episode where they developed these characters. Oh yeah, I remember now: Foreman has parents, and the girl who talks a lot had a husband, and one of them's Australian.

das

Don't forget his dad's a doctor and they don't get along, we got a whole episode about that.

kvrdave 05-30-07 10:25 AM

 It's like you breathed life into them.

I think you could take the 3 people from the plane and still have a solid show. :) It would be a reunion show. Or the hot chick who suggested the collogen injections.

Nathan Fillion. Summer Glau. Jewel Staite.

fumanstan 05-30-07 11:18 AM

I hope they're not all gone, or at the very least show up for a few episodes next season. Cameron's leave was a bit to abrupt for me. Actually, both her and Chase was. I'd be sad to see them go out like that.

uteotw 05-30-07 11:26 AM

Mediocre episode, I thought, much less a season finale. The fact that most people don't seem to care if the whole team is gone or not shows...something.

To me it shows that the show is all about House and his interactions with people. I felt the same way most people here felt that I doubt they will cut all 3 cast members, but would it be such a bad thing? As long as Wilson and to a lesser extent Cuddy are there along with House I think you could easily throw in any other characters.

And, yeah, what character development? We barely know that much about House in 3 seasons let alone these 3.

heavy liquid 05-30-07 12:26 PM

I thought this was an okay episode, but pretty ho-hum as a season finale. No comparison to last year's amazing finale and mind-F.

tideomega 05-30-07 06:52 PM

Are you forgetting House is Superman and can do all, even run off his entire team. House is a JERK, but JMO... its beginning to get old.

I agree with you about the guitar, plus with his thigh muscle nearly completely gone.... he wouldn't have been dancing around in his office when his team came in.

firteen88 05-30-07 06:58 PM

good ridance to those 3, who needs em. I just want more house and wilson

superdeluxe 05-30-07 07:39 PM

Bring on Honey :)

Shady12 05-30-07 11:11 PM

Yeah I don't give a damn about those 3 characters. Replace them! Or not, I don't care!

shanester 05-31-07 05:49 AM

"Am I In Heaven??"
"No, New Jersey"

So are those three gone or coming back. What say you FOX??

I think Cameron is hot. There was a shot of her on the steps in tight pants. Very nice. She seems to have a nice figure but it's hard to tell in those damn scrubs

Hey! I noticed her in that shot, too! What the hell was that?!?!? It had to be the lighting. Because, she hasn't show any signs of having a hot body to me. Now, who really has a hot body is, Cuddy. Does anyone remember the episode, "Who's the Daddy", where she showed one whole leg and ass cheek? :) Plus, I'm a sucker for those tight skirts she loves to wear. -wink-

Okay, but only if their House characters have the same quirks that their Firefly characters did:

Fillion - No nonesense, but with a wicked sense of humor and strong sense of right and wrong. Ends up becoming the teams' "conscience" in counter-point to House's "don't care" attitude.
Glau - Savant, comes up with off-the-wall diagnoses, competes passive-aggressively with House all season long.
Staite - Country gal in the "big" city. Thinks House is always right at first, but gets hurt. Likely to fall in love with Wilson by mid-season.

BDB 05-31-07 11:21 AM

I'm sure they'll be back, all 3 of them. I'd be very surprised if they left.

But Cuddy, House and Wilson make the show for me.

Might as well bring in Simon Tam, then.

CPA-ESQ. 05-31-07 01:56 PM

I think all 3 will be back - It would be fun to see House try out some new doctors for his staff.

Just keep Cuddy

eisenreich 06-02-07 02:14 PM

While we're waiting for the next season..

These House/Cameron videos are killing me! I had no idea how many House fans produced these videos to songs capturing their 2 seasons of semi-flirtations.

DRG 06-05-07 10:50 AM

I wouldn't be surprised if they started next season with a mini-arc where he has replaced everyone with new staffers, but four or five eps later he has reunited the old team. This show likes to shake things up for a few episodes and hit reset.
