House *Season Finale* - "Human Error" - 5/29/07

"Human Error"
Spoiler:
A Cuban couple, Esteban and his sick wife, Marina Hernandez, are pulled from the ocean during a dangerous rescue at sea while on route to the U.S. on a mission to reach Dr. House. Marina's medical records from Cuba were lost in the shipwreck, so the team runs a series of tests to determine the extent of her illness. When Marina's heart stops during a routine cardiac catheterization, the diagnostic mystery deepens. House debates with the team whether it was human error or a still-to-be-determined illness that caused Marina to flat-line, and the team fights to keep Marina alive on a bypass machine long enough for her husband to say goodbye, knowing that nothing short of a miracle can save her. Meanwhile, Foreman prepares for his last day of work at Princeton-Plainsboro, and Chase accuses House of trying to win Foreman over in order to dissuade him from leaving, prompting House to make a very rash decision that affects the whole team

Can someone REALLY just take a brand-new guitar out of the case and start playing it like that? Doesn't it need to be tuned first?

Wasn't a particularly strong finale, kind of all over the place. And you can, but it won't sound right.

"Don't make me slap you!"

Thought it was a okay season finale to an excellent season (minus the David Morse shit), with the team in disarray as a mini-cliffhanger.

I would have no problem with a whole new team next year, as long and one is a cute chick with a nice ass and one is black. I'm kind of worn out on Chase, Cameron and Foreman, but the eye candy and House racial jokes are a must.

Three years of character development down the drain. Ugh.

lol, do you really think the season premiere won't end with all 3 of them working for House again?

None of the storylines stick. Foreman's disease? Joke about it for 2 episodes then he's fine again. Tritter? Vogel? No mention of them again, everything's back to normal.

It's the way House is.

I liked the scene with House calling Cameron easy and then the slow pan to her over at the table

Other than that an OK finale.

I knew Cameron would follow Chase wherever he'd go, so in effect with House cleaning house, I think he becomes a constant in the face of change that's self-inflicted, and inevitable as the gang completed their apprenticeships under House. House was dead on about Foreman playing the martyr in his extended goodbye tour. House let Chase go after Chase finally showed a backbone and stood up to House instead of being the one to placate House and kiss his butt, i.e. House pushed Chase out of the nest because he thought Chase was finally ready to fly on his own. Cameron just wants everyday to be Tuesday, so she choose Chase over House.

I am really hoping that they take the opportunity to get a whole new team. It would make the series cheaper based on salaries, I assume, and I think it could breathe some great life into the show. I won't complain if they are all back either, but I would be fine with them being gone.

Next season I'm hoping for a Hispanic girl, a gay Irish guy with red hair, and a chimp.

Yeah, if they get the right people, I'm up for a new cast of characters as well. But really, what are the chances of that happening?

They should snag 3 people from 3 different cancelled FOX shows.

Chyler Leigh or Elisha Dushku for the female role would be good.

Chyler Leigh landed on "Grey's Anatomy".

How do you figure? Do you honestly think that those cast members because they 'resigned' or 'quit' are no longer on the show?

I'm waiting for the spin-off Foreman, where we follow him onto his new job, learning how to be the person he wants to be, and inventing a grill.

I was thinking something similar (though not exact) with Catalina Sandino Moreno, Conan O'Brien, and the cast of Good Burger

I must have missed the episode where they developed these characters. Oh yeah, I remember now: Foreman has parents, and the girl who talks a lot had a husband, and one of them's Australian.

Don't forget his dad's a doctor and they don't get along, we got a whole episode about that.

It's like you breathed life into them.

I think you could take the 3 people from the plane and still have a solid show. It would be a reunion show. Or the hot chick who suggested the collogen injections.

I hope they're not all gone, or at the very least show up for a few episodes next season. Cameron's leave was a bit to abrupt for me. Actually, both her and Chase was. I'd be sad to see them go out like that.

Mediocre episode, I thought, much less a season finale. The fact that most people don't seem to care if the whole team is gone or not shows...something.
