Veronica Mars *Series? Finale* -- "The Bitch Is Back" -- 05/22/07

Spoiler:
Furious that Logan attacked Piz, Veronica tells Logan she wants nothing to do with him. Parker confronts Logan about still having feelings for Veronica, while Piz assures Veronica that he had nothing to do with the sex video. Veronica, with Weevil's help, investigates how the tape originated and discovers a person from her past is linked to The Castle and pays them a visit. With the re-election campaign nearing, Keith steps in to protect Veronica. Percy Daggs, Ryan Hansen and Tina Majorino also star.

Pretty sure that this is the series finale. Between the previews from last week, and the ep description above, it doesn't leave much unknown.

I actually don't want to watch this because all the spoilers say it will just make you dislike the VM character more.

Really? That spoiler seemed like it was only about the SECOND half of the episode.

The OP does not realize that this is a TWO HOUR ending that starts with the episode "Weevils Wobble But They Don't Go Down":

Spoiler:
Weevil asks Veronica to clear his name after he's arrested for selling fake debit cards to Hearst students, claiming he's being framed because of his criminal background.

I'm excited even though this will undoubted be the last new Veronica Mars aired.

A two-parter running all tonight. Since the CW only airs 8-10pm in primetime and Gilmore Girls is done, I'm going to say 8-10pm.

I know this is the series finale so how come the commercials keep saying it's the season finale? Here in the SF/Bay Area that is how it is promoted on CW.

Because technically it IS the season finale. The CW just hasn't picked it up so technically it just so happens to be the end of the series too - even if these episodes don't wrap up the show like a series finale would. Those promos were probably compiled weeks before last week's upfronts. Besides do you really think promoting it as the series finale would help in the ratings at this point?

Now that's the sort of standalone episode I wish we could be getting some of next year. Can't wait for the finale.

Really liked the finale a lot and won't be too disappointed if this was it since it didn't end with that many loose ends. I would of liked to have seen Veronica try and take down all the people on the hard drive though.

Farewell, fair Veronica Mars! You leave us much too soon.

I was a bit peeved that the
Spoiler:
return of Jake Kane was blown by the opening credits when I saw Kyle Secor listed. Serves me right for knowing too much.

I'm also sad that Keith Mars
Spoiler:
DID THE VERY SAME THING THAT DEPUTY LEO DID BY DESTROYING EVIDENCE!! I guess that answers my question from 2 weeks ago about how he could bring Leo back.

I hate the idea of Vinnie being Sheriff. Maybe he'll get himself in deep trouble and Sax will take over the place. Yes, I know it's just a show.

I liked both episodes, but think they were more "mid-season" kind of episodes and that the last one was a terrible way to end a season, much less a series (I know the latter wasn't intended as such, but they had to know that was a very real possibility).

Why couldn't they've been doing eps like this all season?

I actually don't want to watch this because all the spoilers say it will just make you dislike the VM character more.
You're kidding? That was the Ronnie I fell in love with back in Season 1 -- a vindictive, amoral, one-woman revenge machine. The moment she told Weevil that she'd be needing his help, I knew something good was coming. I'm only disappointed that she didn't throw the sex-tape in Jake's face.

Too bad even if we get Veronica of the FBI, we won't be getting more Keith -- I'd really like to see him and Leo as PIs.

Fantastic episodes. If that's the last new Mars I ever see at least it ended on a high note.

I can live with that.

Two fantastic episodes. Good to see Wallace, Mac, Weevil, and Logan go out on high notes. Nice to see Dick apologize. Makes up for a season that never seemed to hit its stride.

I've liked other shows more than Veronica Mars, but never felt more affection for one. I'll miss it.

cheers,

-the Jesus

Great episodes. I wish they could have fleshed out Dick a bit more (regarding Beaver). Would have been interesting to see a total breakdown with him and Mac.

I really hope the Season 3 Boxset includes the FBI pilot. As much as I love VM, I think we wont be seeing her again next season :-(
