I usually call my cable provider and see what they'll give me if I keep it. Best ever was every single premium channel for $20 extra per month. I hated moving from that apt.

Same here for the reasons you mentioned.

Like others, I'm going to stick around to watch BIG LOVE, and while I wasn't thrilled about JOHN FROM CINCINATTI when I first heard about it, the fact that it has the brilliant Bruce Greenwood (see: Nowhere Man and Thirteen Days) in the lead gives me hope that it might be pretty good.

Keeping it, for the reasons others have said (Big Love and the new original series in the pipeline). I'm really looking forward to Flight of the Conchords, too. They're a pretty funny comedy duo; hopefully that translates into a worthwhile show.

Yes. As a matter of fact, we're canceling cable all-together.

Going with Verizon FIOS at the end of the summer, I plan on skipping the HBO package it's too expensive, and moving to the Showtime package, should save about $15 a month doing that...

I'll wait for the HBO DVDs...

I might keep it to see the next season of Entourage, which I think starts in late June.

If not, I will most likely drop cable altogether and just keep my internet service. My provider hasn't been doing me much right as of late, and I have no reason to keep them unless they give a better deal than what I already have. I admit they are doing what they can to stretch Sopranos out.

What is that show about the Little Big Horn called? Isn't that going to be on HBO in a few months?

Oh thanks for reminding me on that one.

Definitely cancelling once the series ends.

Other than ENTOURAGE, there is nothing in their original programming that I like. As for the movies - well, if it's something I really want to see I won't watch it on HBO because it won't be broadcast widescreen, so the only movies I'm tempted to watch on HBO are ones that I don't really care about - so why bother?

Have people forgot about The Wire???? (ending after next season)This may be the nail in the coffin for me as besides Boxing and Entourage The Wire is the only show I watch on HBO that would still be airing....I might just turn it on when entourage comes back on then turn it off again....

even though I like big love, that can wait for DVD. I will cancel, unless they put some better movies on their HD channel.

Cancelling once The Sopranos ends, re-upping when the Wire comes back, and probably cancelling for good when that's done.

Great topic; I was going to cancel after Sopranos, but there's been a development...

I won't lie; I'm a fantasy whore. I've heard rumor that HBO has secured the rights to George RR Martin series A Game of Thrones. If this series actually happens, I am on record as loving HBO forever and will become a life long member. There. I've said it.

So you are willing to keep HBO (and pay monthly) solely on a rumor?! Why not go ahead with your plan to cancel and should HBO produce the series, THEN re-sign up?

This all assumes of course that PT Barnum was wrong.

Definately not cancelling. I rarely watch any of the premium channels, but I like having the option.

I would cancel but I still got Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and The Wire to finish.

Thinking about it. I only started subscribing right before S4 began. So many of the movies are the ones that have been in near-constant rotation for I don't know how many years.

HBO will be gone post Sopranos. The only show left I still enjoy is Curb Your Enthusiasm, and I get the season sets on DVD anyway. Entourage is a diversion that I wouldn't miss, and I can't remember the last time I watched a movie on the channel. That's what DVDs are for. Plus, I hate Big Love so much I might cancel HBO simply out of spite.

I'll consider bringing it back if they ever finally come through with the Pacific Theater of Operations version of Band of Brothers that has been promised for years now.
